Another vote for Jury Duty. It's very good.

Just started the 2nd season of Gemstones.  First season was OK, but kind of ran out of steam I thought.

Dont expect anything more from the second season - might just skip to season 3 on the recommendation of gallsman

Actually enjoying S2 much more than S1.  Maybe because I gave up on the idea of it being a comedy, and more of a drama/mystery thing with one or two laughs an episode.  Still don't like the way over the top attempts at comedy that doesn't land (the sister and the closet gay son the worst offenders) but it's entertaining enough.   Agree that the God Squad stuff is just shit.

Is that supposed to be the same sort of thing?
