Quote from: Eire90 on Today at 02:28:50 PMits a new level of low if they are stalking peoples social media profiles to use for sledging porposes.

This isn't a new thing and it's certainly not specific to Kilcoo, nor Down.

One of our lads was targeted a good few years back against a South Derry team about his ma, girlfriends títs etc etc obviously from SM, it didn't end there and followed on to the Hatfield later that night, but the lad in question got his comeuppance on the Monday morning and wasn't so brave when it was a one-on-one.

Loose lips cause teeth to get knocked out and all that!

Easily solved in this day and age, equip each player with a microphone.

Quote from: johnnycool on October 02, 2023, 10:58:37 AMIt is real, unbelievable that he'd think people would fall for it and even more unbelievable that they did!

It is OK, he has been charged now.

Quote from: imtommygunn on October 02, 2023, 11:58:31 AMThat's mad. Especially when you consider what the sister was at too.

She mostly cheated people she didn't know, he attempted to cheat people who did know, having previous ruined his mistress.

Quote from: Milltown Row2 on September 30, 2023, 01:11:11 AMChange the mindset, I've lived in Ireland all my life. The borders have always been someone else's.

How much different will your life be? When it happens, brilliant, but if you are in your 40's/50's now, that Ireland you are searching for will be entirely different.

The border is now very real in terms of investment, job opportunities for kids, health and education.

We're at the mercy of the most right wing, gaslighting Tory government since Thatcher who openly don't give a flying fúck about this place and are happy that we've got the DUP to fúck us over evermore.
The damage they've done will take a generation to correct.

And the government in Dublin are doing a great job?

The Dublin government is middling, there is room for improvement but they will not be noted in history in the way that the present London government will be.

Quote from: jcpen on September 29, 2023, 09:43:46 PMAnother awkward interview with 3 guests

Three randomers collected together is hard work.

Now Mick Lynch, a man with good Culloville heritage, although he has less hair than those who remained.

Quote from: clarshack on September 29, 2023, 09:46:09 PMWhen the likes of Varadkar and Bono are talking about a United Ireland it must be only a matter of time. It wasn't that long ago that Varadkar wouldn't even entertain the idea so why now the change?

Whether you are in favour of United Ireland or not it would be ridiculous to deny that it is likely to happen by 2050.

Quote from: Blowitupref on September 22, 2023, 09:54:04 PMVogue Williams your modern day celebrity for doing what? Must be short on guests already just two shows in.

Vogue wins top British podcast, probably Joanne McNally did the best bit

Quote from: Rossfan on September 29, 2023, 04:20:04 PMSome Unionists probably don't believe
1 that there were people in Ireland before 1609
2 that the Earth existed 5,000 years ago

You are too cynical. After all who built Carrickfergus castle and the earth founded almost 6026 years ago, as every unionist knows.

Quote from: general_lee on September 27, 2023, 12:20:38 PMLaurence Fox on GB News last night.
The guy is a nutcase.

No idea who he is, but you'd need to be someone very vile to be suspended from that station I'd have thought

He was the sidekick to Lewis in the Oxford detective series Lewis that followed from Morse.
I quite enjoyed those programmes, but he clearly has problems now.

Quote from: seafoid on September 23, 2023, 09:44:46 PMThe crowd noise at the soccer was a choir of primary school girls and at the rugby its a sea of men..

I was coming across the toll bridge when the crowd was coming out, I have never quite seen such a female proportion in a sports event at the Aviva, it was more like some concerts.

Quote from: Rois on September 23, 2023, 10:00:03 AMBit of a random one - anyone here spent any time in Gallipoli or other towns in Puglia?

I stayed a couple of days in Lecce which was lovely in the centre, but I didn't get to Gallipoli. I also stayed a few days in Trani further up the coast.
I think that part of the world has potential, especially if you avoid the hottest period in July and August.

Quote from: Tubberman on September 22, 2023, 11:12:00 PMHolohan is very matter-of-fact, but I thought that was a very good interview.
Tubridy would have been too giddy and would have interrupted far too often - Kielty let him talk and I thought it was great viewing.

A very soft interview, I understand it being that way with the questions about his deceased wife. But, no push to ask Holohan on the disgraceful Cervical Check fiasco and cover-up, Covid restrictions, His quango job in Trinity that went tits up when it went public that it transpired he actually was going to do nothing.

It was a soft interview, and never intended to be anything else.

QuoteA very wealthy man, with a huge pension - now writing a vanity book about himself.

I think that you have a distorted view of very wealthy, Holohan is decently well off, as every member of his graduating medical class is, but the wealthiest person in that studio was interviewer not the interviewee.

If these people have policies then there will be an election in the next year or so. Somehow I think they will not be convincing people.

Toyota "road" map, if you can actually go into the showroom in 2026 and buy a yoke that is significantly cheaper and with 600Km range, then that would suit a lot of people.
