we have a lot of talent coming through but to convert them to senior footballers is the problem, there is to much of a gap between the development squads of 16 and then until they reach senior level, if we want to be more successful we need to continue coaching right through until they are 20 as some of the minor coaching is shocking, we also are very mentally weak, a lot of younger players seem to be injured all the time, are they really injured or are they just mentally weak?

the coaching they get during the u-21 must be very hard due to weather conditions and pitch states, hence you would have to question it as most of these players have already committed their season to senior grades within their clubs and then to colleges once they return in September/October.  Burn out a factor also

i did not follow the leinster junior championship as I commit to work every Saturday and the Rosenallis story in both codes is just amazing and I agree with posts, shame on Laois County Board fixing a game the same time

I have seen all of portlaoise games this year and I have to say Rogers poor enough by his own standards. Thus far I would give Bruno senior player of the year hands down

I taught it was a good game but I seen both play better through out the year. A draw would have been fair but I agree with the subs that won this game

Have to hand it to ODempseys. That's 2 games in a row now back from the dead. Great game to watch.

What ever manager comes in he just does not have the pick of players required to compete. If you think about it he has only half a county to choose from as the other half is caught up in hurling and we are to small a county for that. And in fairness to the players that do come in well they put their lives on hold to put on the jersey no matter how bad we think they are. It all leads back to the underage structure where parents coach teams just because their kid is on it. Before we coach the players we need to coach the coach. Also underage football should be non competitive up until a certain age and this would also help as the coach sees not other option but to win and forgets about developing the player.

It's always the case of over talking an injury coming into a final to try get advantage over the opposition. But hopefully both players will be available as this is our second tier competition and you always want to see a good final with talent on show

I'd like to see the video before I pass judgement. I wonder is this a phantom injury as in playing mind games

I think the findings and evidence of such a report should be made available for public viewing just like you can request information under the freedom of information act. O Dempseys started the year training to win a final against teams with strong squads and this mentality should not change over this
