Fancy us to get another 2 points in Tullamore at weekend. This league is turning out to be competitive with some interesting results to date. A win in Tullamore would give us a great chance of fighting for a top 2 spot and a league final. I'd imagine a decent crowd at this game plus it's on tg4 also I believe. Is cunning out for the whole year? Def need others to step up a bit up front. McNaughton has been brilliant so far. 1 24 in 2 games.

It's a tough game this one. I would worry we lack a bit of pace in the FB line and Offaly could do some damage there. We were far too good for westmeath tbh and this will probably be a better gauge of where we are. In a perfect world that'll be the same again but I think Offaly will be a much tougher nut to crack.

This should be a real test, but if can build on last week then definitely would be a positive. Hoping we dont revert back to the Dublin performance.

In general though it is good to be in a really competitive league.

Division 1 same 10 teams as last year.

Bredagh coming up the only change in 2.

Gort and Davitts up to 3 with reserve teams from Dunloy, Ballycastle and Cushendall added too. No Na Magha.

In 4 Larne and St Galls Reserves gone but reserve teams from Glenarm, Naomh Eanna and Rossa added in.

I hate how they do this nonsense tbh. Meetings to decide what division clubs are in. Set a structure in place, 2 up 2 down and let teams find their level. Anything else makes it pointless. Teams scrapping for points to stay up but a board meeting actually is what decides their fate then you've teams winning league and championship and back in the same league. Pointless.

Sarsfields not getting relegated, as they had been.

Does every other county change their aporoach every few years?

Teams get relegated but get a reprieve to remain in the divisions.

Will this precedence be followed in future years?

County is a shambles, no integrity in the league - hurling being played amongst boardroom tables and secret phonecalls

Look at the football too. Teams kept getting a reprieve in it which led to 16 clubs in division 1, 10 in division 2 and 8 in division 3. 16/34 clubs in Antrim football are division 1. Complete shambles.

They need to set something in place, give it a few years and teams will naturally find where they belong. If you're relegated, there's a reason for that, if you finish top, there's a reason for that.

Not looking good here.

It's woeful so far
Second to every ball

podge

Antrim being totally outthought and outplayed.  Miles behind.  Why do we constantly play balls straight up the line, tight to sideline , making it easier for defenders.
