The community school, their teams would comprise players from which clubs? Are they part of an amalgamation?

Don't know.

Why are they not MacRory if school so big?

Playing in  a smaller school has one benefit I think.

You'll not get burnt out and fed up with training and matches for 6 or 7 years of your life.

Yes, you'll play matches for your school nd train but not to the same level.

Come U17 through to club senior, there should be an extra bit of hunger and energy.

Tipp full forward line! No Joe? 😅😆
Joe only sometimes lived up to the hype. Too fond of the burgers to be a big star.

What was the name of that Tipp player that looked like he enjoyed the burgers, played 11 I think in most games, was an outstanding player, would have got supporters off their feet when he had the ball and went at defences

Redser?

If going from north to a southern university, orfeom the south to UU, what is story regarding grants and fees etc.?

Is it more expensive just to stay in own 'area'?

If one of these regional teams win the Mac Rory Cup, can they go on through to the Hogan Cup semi-final?

Dundee were robbed tonight. Bullied Celtic. Celtic had 83% of possession in first half...with 2 shots.  Dundee had 2 shots also in the first half. WTF?

Brendan Rogers is an average manager.  Needs to starts his strongest team then make subs, as required. Not sure why he chops and changes. Brings Taylor back. He needs to make changes at half-time. Like Ibrox a few weeks ago, he bottled it. Too slow to make the changes. Players are too comfortable under him.

It's clear to me that Idah (£9m) and Trusty (£6m) should be on the bench. Not good enough. Bullied out of it. Trusty is a bombscare. For a big lad, he gets pushed about. Then compare Sutton and Idah...at the same price. Crazy stuff. Poor work there by Celtic's recruitment team. £15m. Yes £15m.

Yang shouldn't start either. Had enough chances.  I think Engels will come good. He's young and takes time to settle but he'll be fine I think.  There's a footballer in there.

My final thoughts is to drop Mc Gregor for a game or 2. It just passes him by. He has no influence on the game. Time on the bench will do him no harm.

Hopefully Celtic can get another goal or two in second half. Dominating Dundee but caught on the break.  Celtic should have been 2 or 3 up before Dundees equaliser.

Idah has had loads of chances over this past 4 games or so. Not good enough. Norwich robbed Celtic. £9m.

Yang not great either.

Hopefully see Kenny up top in secons half for 45 mins.

Problem is local politicians are up in arms.  The schools are unsustainable, numbers wise.

I'd say if job was done right, he could close another 100 schools.

In Donegal there are loads of wee primary schools with very small numbers but because of geography, they're kept open.

Quote from: ClubScene13 on January 13, 2025, 02:21:52 PMIs Abbey Vocational a stand alone school and the Southwest Donegal team is a bit of an amalgamation?

Are Omagh fancied for the final again along with Magherafelt?

SW Donegal is an amalgamation of the schools in Killybegs, Carrick, Glenties, Rosses (Dungloe) and Gweedore.

Abbey VS is a single school in Donegal Town.

Damien Diver, who is the county board person in charge of coaching, said previously he was looking at the possibility of other amalgamations to give young lads a chance to play at a higher level.

I don't think Gaoth Dobhair and Na Rossa are in SW Donegal?

Either that or it's a massive catchment area.

The old SW Donegal Dail constituency was way bigger!

But yeah, maybe "west Donegal" would have been more accurate.

That's not fair, is it?

How many schools?

Quote from: Saffrongael on January 14, 2025, 11:55:28 AMDidn't Martin Fogarty resign from the hurling development committee in protest at the application process?

Maher was also on the hurling development committee, which is a bit bizarre that thats where the successful applicant came from.

Is he not gone 3 years now?

GAA Discussion / Re: Club Final Tickets

Quote from: Hereiam on January 14, 2025, 05:02:54 PMI am raging the way the GAA is treating the ordinary supporter with regards to tickets.
Went online last night to get tickets for the family 2 adults and 4 children U16.
I would have to pay full price if I wanted everyone sitting together which comes to £150 or else the children would have to go and sit in the opposite side of the ground on their own.

Why are Croke park doing this, there can be no other reason other than greed. They talk about the important of family vales but we cant even sit together at a match.
Because of this we are not going now and will stay at home.

Is that for the Hogan Stand?
