What is the story with this? It all sounds a bit strange. (Hard to see anything objective on it as it seems to be just digs at sf or Ross and then some at RTÉ thrown in.)
Fianna Fáil first. Need another republican party
From what I've been reading about the book it seems to be a fairly objective bio - Mary Lou was accommodating to an extent, the main SF players were not.
Shane Ross has experience of working with Mary Lou on an Oireachtas committee and is well disposed towards her despite obvious political differences.
Any idea how she managed to pay for a decent house while taking the minimum wage?

Does her husband work?
I imagine it's a riveting read and will be in everyone Christmas stocking this year. RTE cut his much discussed interview as it was boring (their words, not mine)
Who'd want to read that book, she's as interesting as a cow shite

Doesn't she come from a privileged background with private education?

Hardly surprising. Fascists in sheep's clothing
"It's simple. He [Varadkar] should tell his people to stop libelling SF members on air... and then they would have no problems with libel proceedings." Eoin Ó Broin
Have to say, I'm not sure which is the most surreal about all this waffle: Shane Ross thinking RTÉ are obliged to air an interview with him to promote his book (to the point that he wants them before an Oireachtas committee about it), or Micheal Martin, the leader of the party which gave us Section 31, up on his high horse about "media censorship". Comical.
