I don't think I finished in the bottom 3 (Coolera Bears).

I finished 7th in the regular season. In the past the end of season games were never taken into account in determining position for relegation.

Have all players got back to you Oakleaflad? Getting tight now for drafts.

Sad to see some Jamie Carraghers on here after last night. Don't be him.

Maguire and Shaw need to be out the door. McTominay and Fred - never play them together. Last night's back 4 is the best available. AWB adequate too. Ronaldo will be fine once he gets up to speed - had no preseason. A good performance and result but need this consistently. Getting poison like Maguire and Shaw out the door will help greatly.

It's the perfect sting. Business family purchase Football Club.
Business Family put the debt of purchase on the Club.
Fans loyalty to United means it's against their nature to pull against the club.
A loved Club legend like OGS put at the helm sustained the mirage.
Fans loyalty to OGS meant it was against their nature to pull against him.

This is bigger than Ole but in hindsight he did an amazing job for a sustained period with substandard players.

United have the money and when you're a little off the top and desperate to get back there you can end up attracting the wrong type. It's at epidemic proportions now at United.

I'll never really understand United fans' obsessive dismay at the Glazers taking money out of the club.

They've bankrolled a series of managers and have matched the salaries of any club in the world. This doesn't make them generous of course, but f**k me just how much money does a club need to spend before success should be inevitable? Would another £300m really have made a difference the past few years?

The Glazers haven't "bankrolled" anything. They've taken 1 Billion out for themselves (and counting) whilst running the club into the ground. The underinvestment in the early years of their ownership (Ronaldo replaced by Valencia for example) when they were struggling with their US businesses and to repay the massive debt they foisted on the club broke the cycle of success. Ferguson's genius meant trophies kept coming for a few years after that but the rot had set in. Since Ferguson left it there has been a chasm between United and the best. Quick fix solutions (Ibrahimovic) and some really good coaching (Ole) have papered over the cracks at times but inevitably the players aren't mentally equipped to be winners. The cycle has been broken and it will take a long time to rebuild it. The complete incompetence of the Glazers and their minions mitigates against this. They are about the worst owners imaginable bar the fact that there is no evidence of widespread human rights abuses at their hands.

New owners must provide for a level of fan ownership. Ideally all clubs should be supporter owned but capitalism won't allow this. Sports clubs shouldn't be corporate cash cows. Things will get worse before they get better and it's a lowering of the share price that will focus the Glazers minds.

Man Utd are very poor because of the Glazers so you would think that the share price would be high, with the club flogging all those jerseys in Asia.
But in fact the share price reached a peak in 2018 and has been falling since then.

I've said it since 2005. The club will never be right with these owners and the only thing that will make them leave is fans boycotting the club. Don't buy merchandise, don't go to the games, lobby sponsors......if done successfully they'll cash in their chips a feck off.....hopefully with a well reduced value of the club.

Coolera Bears ready to go again.

I'll be brief. No rule changes needed. Enforce the 4 steps rule and handpass rule. Give defenders a chance 1 on 1. Players in possession are given too much time to make decisions (overcarrying is standard) and if they make any sort of attempt at a striking action it's allowed. Guarantee if these rules were enforced team wouldn't be able to maintain possession so easily like they do now.

Can someone post up the standings from all competitions. Think I might have done enough to survive if Oakleaflad has made the playoffs in the Walter Payton. Narrowly missed out of the record points against average. What a season.....never experienced a weirder one.

Funny, Shane. Right now, staring over the precipice of relegation. You're in a great spot yourself, though.

You know what I mean, though. You've outscored us all.

I'm hoping for 3rd time lucky this year. Superbowl defeat 2 years ago, tame semi final loss last year. Don't wanna be a Mayo.

Oraisteach and I are in the same boat. A maddening game this at times. Is it 4 relegated or 3?

After 7 matchdays last season EPL (difference to this year in brackets):

1. Liverpool P7 Pts 16 (+1)
2. Leicester P7 Pts 15 (-7)
3. Spurs P7 Pts 14 (-2)
4. Everton P 7 Pts 13 (+1)
....
7. Chelsea P7 Pts 12 (+4)
....
10. Man City P6 Pts 11 (+3*)
....
15. Man United P6 Pts 7 (+7*)

* - one more game played this year.

People need to calm down. Brendan Rodgers....cmon for heavens sake. It could be better but there's every chance it will improve. Cavani needs to be on the pitch more.
