We've beaten this Louth team many times over the years. Only thing that has really changed is coaching I.e. Harte and now Brennan.

Meath are very poorly coached and way behind on S&C. I believe we have enough talent. There's promising players coming into the senior squad and they never seem to progress.

The county board have to accept that we need to look outside the county to get the best coaches etc.

No. We're done. Need to look elsewhere for a manager now. Serious failure today. I don't care how good Louth are, we shouldn't be that bad.

3-6 to 0-5

Louth destroying us. O'Rourke and the whole back room team can go now.

It will be interesting to see the team named. Jordan Morris is out injured which hurts our chances but Shane Walsh should be recovered from the broken toe by now.

I rewatched the league game, and Louth had a good few goal chances stopped by the keeper or a defender on the line. We were hit by 5 unanswered points after half time as well.

Still as I said before, we should be hitting our stride now if we're doing anything right and I expect a big performance to get us a win and a strong start to the group stage.

If Meath don't give an all guns blazing performance against Louth next week it will be a damning indictment of O'Rourke.

We knew we'd be here since the Tailteann Cup ended. If he can't get that right then he's not fit for the job.

Hard to know what way it'll go. Monaghan have had a long rest as have we but they're on a bit of a downturn. We beat Louth in the league but if you compare the games against Dublin you'd put them ahead of us. Kerry clear winners of this group.

These 3 games will be the summation of O'Rourkes term. Now is the time to prove his worth, this is what we've been building towards. Now is the time to perform, to show what we're made of, no holding back, no more talk of building. This is it now. Let's see.

Louths performance really put ours in a new perspective. I don't think O'Rourke would ever play as defensive as that but Louth seemed far more confident and composed than we were. This isn't a new Louth team or anything like that, largely same players we've seen over the years but the right coaching seems to make a big difference.

If we don't get O'Bric next then  I think we need to go outside the county for a manager. However I get the feeling the county board wanted O'Rourke and they'll give him another term if he wants it.

Should have won that but left too many chances out there. Interesting to see what happens next for these boys.

It would be great to see a real minnow win this. Hopefully Wicklow can do it.

Not sure about Antrim, they haven't really taken off under Andy McEntee. They were good against us last year in the semi final but I thought he'd have them promoted in the league.

Are the semis going to be curtain raisers for hurling championship matches?

I honestly think people should stay home for the final. The GAA needs to get the message. And if you hurt their pocket the tend to take notice. Wonder in Jarlath has any ideas or solutions to the Leinster problem.

When is the Connacht final?

Yeah, East Meath town young lads have had a Dublin twang from even going back to when I was in school in the 90's. Probably has gotten more pronounced lately.

We used to laugh at the rural Dublin lads from places just up the road from us like Ballyboghal and Garristown putting on their strongest Dublin accents as if they weren't just as big culchies we were.

Great to get the win and some silverware at this grade at last. I was worried after the Dublin game that this would be a lost year but we turned it around. Armstrong is some man. Only up from Minor but just goes for it. He has some engine on him. Hopefully O'Bric moves up to senior level with these players. We have a good shot at an All Ireland now.

I guess Offaly were also just lacking belief today. That's all there is to it. Other than that sure they're Dublins equal in every other factor.
