Who is this David Carey lad?

Saffrongael

St Andrews is just too easy when the weather isn't rough
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

ONeill

Some good players missed the cut though.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

Last years winner didn't think it was too easy... on his way home
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

It is. But the top 10 currently is mostly the best, in form players in the world... so it's a fair test.

Hound

Cut coming at even par shows it's not too easy. There are times when it looks easy alright, but the many of the bunkers are genuine hazards, which is different from what they play on most weeks, and there is some hay which can cause problems too.

It is a very slow course, in terms of playing time. 3 or 4 of the par 4s being driveable (I've no memory of the 18th being driveable previously!) and then even moreso 14 of holes being on shared greens.

I'd love to see some proper wind over the weekend, but presumably none is expected.

What have you got against caps?

ONeill

I just like the feel of unrestrained flowing locks.

Am I imagining it but are rounds normally wrapped up around 6pm in the British Open? Are they timing it much later this year?

On a Sunday it usually wraps up for 6. Saturday is more leisurely.

Id expect there's some allowance for St Andrew's going on though. If it's going to take naturally 5.5 hours for a round then things will slide
