Counties that were handed away fixtures in the first round of last year's All-Ireland football Qualifiers can look forward to a home game this year, unless they are drawn against another county who also had to travel in 2009.
In that case, a toss will decide who enjoys home advantage. The system is designed to ensure that counties don't have to rely on luck to give them a home game. The draw for the first-round Qualifiers, scheduled for Saturday, June 26. will be held on Sunday evening.

The counties who played away in the first round last year were: Tipperary, Waterford, Armagh, Fermanagh, Offaly, Carlow, Longford and London.

Quoteis the athletic ground not finished?

While three sides of the ground are finished, they are building this yoke at the Athlethic grouunds in Armagh

We'll be rightly able for the qualifiers in future years, if anyone still follows Armagh.
Is the ceannarus getting knocked down?
It looks like it's still stuck in the middle of the stand, which could look pretty stupid.

guys there will only be about 7000 at this match

Not convinced they'll be allowed to have it in Cross.

Any ideas where the field is in Carlow.  don't think i've been in the county in my life

The couple of times I was there I came into the town from Castledermot and when you come to the "Dr  Cullen Roundabout" you are there more or less.

Derry will travel to Carlow as both sides were away last year and Carlow were first out of the hat (both lost to donegal in last year's qualifiers).

I'd be surprised if the armagh game is in armagh.

Have a bad feeling about Mayo losing to Longford. Then again it'd have been the same no matter who they had drawn.

Maguire01

The likes of Derry and Mayo have landed draws that could put them back on track and see a run to the quarters.
