Jackson insisted no vanilla sex but the witness saw him in position
He had no explanation for the tear in the vaginal wall. The claimant did . The whole hand.
Olding and McIlroy had the same story.
Olding was accused of exposure but he said he had oral sex with her. He must be lying.
The 3 insisted the claimant was fine leaving.
This was contradicted by the claimant and Harrison's texts
Harrison denied the meaning of the key texts. This was not credible.
The defence position is essentially that the claimant is a nymphomaniac.

You have missed your calling! instead of saving the world from economy disasters you should joing forces with Syferus and become the next legal team from the West!

IP took her own top off.
she was all over Jackson at the bar and his house
she said she never knew who he was
Left her mates and went back to a party with no friends
made no attempt to ask for help when the witness came in
witness seen her give oral with no hands on her
She was not sober, neither was anyone
No previous from the defendants

No of the above mean shit if she said no at any time, which would mean rape, the only no that was heard was when the other guy came in and she said, not him as well!

Too many factors there for 10 or more of the jury to say guilty i think, not that it makes them totaly innocent

Allegedly CCT footage from Ollies shows her talking to a doctor most of the night, not any of the NI team or Jackson and Co.

No previous,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,hmmmmmmmmm

What was the gist of one of McIlroy's messages "Pumped a bird with Jacko on Monday night.  Roasted her.  Then another on Tuesday night"  Maybe no previous, more of a "subsequent"??

Have you only had sex with the one girl?  Any of these girls come forward and say they were raped? Previous means no other convictions of lets say rape or sexual assualt or any crimes for that manner which would give a hint of a persons profile..

As for Ollies there has been talk that she tried it with the NI soccer lads and that didnt happen and she moved onto the rugby lads, she didnt just appear at their house, she must have made some advances to them surely?

Just my childhood sweetheart  ;)

Have me and my mates gangbanged a girl and went out the following night for a bit more, no and no.

Is that legal "previous", probably not, but it does give an insight into their thought processes and mentality and the disposability they viewed their conquests, what was it McIlroy texted about loving loose Belfast slappers?

Does that automatically make them rapists? No IMO.

On your second point I still can't understand why the prosecution didn't go after Jackson when the complainant claimed that she and Jackson consensually kissed, Paddy wanted more and she rejected him. She went to leave and had to go back upstairs to Paddys bedroom for her bag when the incident occurred.

Maybe there was no corroborating evidence to support her claims, who knows.

Us armchair ironsides are just going to have to wait on the professionals doing their jobs.

Guardiola had a much easier job to do.

He inherited a team that in 15/16 had scored 71 league goals compared to Van Gaal's 49. Yes, 49 goals in 38 games.
Since then he has spent close to £280 million on keepers and defenders to plug the leaks at the back.

Cutting lose players with septic attitudes like Nasri and Yaya Toure was also low hanging fruit for Pep.

Yaya was supposed to be the main man when Pep initially took over. Pep didn't pander to him it seems and somehow Yaya had a change of heart and wanted to stay whether he got a birthday cake or not.

Pep doesn't throw his players under the bus when mistakes are made, Jose could do well to learn that.

WRT managers, big Sam will be available in the summer hopefully and he can bring his all action style to the theatre of dreams.

It is really common sense at this juncture.
To the counties who either voluntary or involuntary initially end up in a second tier competition,
the GAA hopefully will (and should) commit serious funds to the development of underage football in those counties.
That I believe is the only way forward.

Certainly a big spoonful of sugar will be needed to make the medicine go down and the GPA should be looking for a paid team holiday for the winning players to appease them.

Didn't happen in the hurling though!

QuoteIt's just that I find a lot of what's said about Russia in the mainstream media isn't credible.

Such as?
How the conflict in Syria is reported, how the Ukraine situation was reported, the alleged state doping, the investigation into the shooting down of MH17, the Sergei Skripal case and basically any time Nikki Haley has a camera in front of her.
Presumably the entirety of the western media has it all wrong about Syria and we should believe "independent" journalists like Eva Bartlett and Vanessa Beeley, who aren't slavish propagandists for Assad and Russia, or anything like that.

Presumably Russia was justified in invading a sovereign country and justified in attempting to poison Yuschenko, or didn't do it at all.

Presumably the Russians didn't shoot down MH17.

Presumably the Russians didn't poison Sergei Skripal or Litvinenko or haven't done all sorts of horrible shit against individuals living outside Russia, and presumably they don't lock up or murder anybody who puts their head above the parapet inside Russia.

Presumably Putin being a very, very, very rich man due to corruption on an industrial scale is all lies.

Putin is just a friendly Russian teddy bear.

Or something.

That's all probably true, but be under no illusions that the CIA and MI5 are up to similar tricks but the western media aren't reporting it.

The CIA were poisoning water supplies in latin America back in the 70's and 80's FFS

Have a look;

If you're looking for somebody to defend the CIA, MI5, and US and British foreign policy, you should look elsewhere.

I'm not and neither am I defending Russia.

Just stating the obvious as high level politics as someone called it on the radio this morning is a very dirty business.

Ryan was offered a contract but it was for buttons. You'd have to question Best getting one at 35 by that rationale.

It would appear that Joe and his team feel Rory will still be the man come WC 2019.

No real reason to think he won't be.

/Jim.

Best is a leader and just a hard nosed f*ck.

He is also a key man in the choke tackle and turnover ball, although less noticeable this year.

I thought it was going to be a clash of 2 unbeaten sides for the prize of the Grand Slam. Then England went and lost to Scotland. Eddie J said he knew what was wrong . Then they lost to France

I read somewhere that England had 15 injuries going in to the tournament. . I think something is not right with England. So am tentatively hopeful for the right result. But I remember 2003

They may have injuries but those are squad players bar Youngs
The squad is important given the injury rate. Henshaw and van der Flier didn't make it to the end of the tournament . Ringrose is third choice in his position but he lined out the other day.

Neither did the other big centre Chris Farrell from the north who plays for Munster.

Is Ultan Dillane back in the reckoning?

you'd think that UTD were beaten by some diddy team from the Faroe Islands ffs.
Sevilla are currently 5th in one of the best leagues in the world if not the best.
they're also now unbeaten in 4 games against English opposition this season.
give some credit to Sevilla ffs. even just now scholes is still calling sevilla a poor team.

They've being awful in Spain this season. Soft centre and conceded over 40 goals. Maribor had nearly the same amount of shots on  target against them over two games.

so Sevilla still not getting any credit here then?

Sevilla deserve huge credit. They came to play and not sit back.  United played as if they were protecting a lead from the away tie.

Juve gave a masterclass the previous week of how to soak up pressure and hit on the counter, that's the style Jose likes and tries to replicate at Manu.
Problem is Smalling, Lindelof, Bailly, Jones, Roho aren't Chiellini or even close to it and Jose hasn't really made an effort to buy a high end defender.
He then spunks big money on Sanchez and Pogba (A) because he can and (B) the fans initially think its great and it appeases them when the see what the Arabs are buying next door.

Jose is caught between two stools and is making a mess of it.

Cian Healy had a shoulder injury it seems, it looked a lot worse on Saturday all the same.

Is he out??

Big loss. Serious ball carrier and against England you need 4 props!
healy has had some turnaround he looked finished during last years tour of USA and Japan but has been impressive in the six nations , looks to have lost a few kgs which given him a bit more mobility

Great post. After such a meteoric rise early in his career he sort of stalled for a while there. Loosing that bulk has definitely helped with his mobility and he is playing great stuff for Leinster and Ireland(back to the form early in his career). Although he is only 30, the stresses placed on the bodies of these players will generally lead to shorter career spans. I suppose that's in the back of his mind.
Saying that, at the minute there is a great mix of experience and youth in this Irish setup. Really exciting times.

Whilst it's a gruelling position they normally get 50 to 55 minutes max whereas poor Mike Ross had to last the 80 or the Irish scrum was reversing at a serious rate of noughts.

I hate that 'hurling people' don't do that remark from Duignan

I got so many sly digs of the hurley that I lost count
it goes on in every game and lots of other stuff too

Yes but hurlers generally move on and don't get on like girls! Dirty blows should be dealt with by the ref and if seen by the camera a ban should follow. Job done
the eulogising of hurling folk is ridiculous
as if they are a different race or something

county hurlers and county management would sell their own mother to gain an advantage
The main difference between hurling and football is manliness.

Take it away, Eddie :

https://www.rte.ie/sport/hurling/2014/0217/504912-keher/

Nothing wrong with that, take belts and give belts, no dirty strokes and away ya go... Hard for me being a ref now but I tend to not blow that often and let the game take its course...
What about giving cards to Kilkenny hurlers, MR? Is it acceptable?

Not if you want to referee an AI final.

Manliness is tantamount to strangling someone in modern hurling.

Sexual abuse aside I cant imagine there were too many schools which were ran by priests/christian brothers where physical abuse wasnt rife prior to 87/88?

Think it changed around that time whereby you were no longer allowed to hit schoolkids

As I only attended CB schools, I cannot confirm but would still have thought that prior to 1987, when corporal punishment became illegal, physical abuse was common in all schools.  Prior to 1987, physical violence in schools was still illegal but was accepted by most pupils as part of attending schools.  This level of violence by adults against children was also reflected in the playground where brutal fights were common place.

Prior to 1987, parents rarely made formal or informal complaints about violence against their children as they had been conditioned to such violence against pupils being the norm.

While being slapped with rulers, leather straps, etc (including the wooden wedges used to secure gym wall bars and climbing frames) was accepted by all, there were plenty of extreme examples of this being used sadistically by some teachers.  As BC1 noted above, the use of other 'weaponry' and especially fists was commonplace.

As a pupil I would have found a lot of the lay staff being more violent and sadistic than the Brothers.

Thankfully, the removal of corporal punishment in 1987 made schools less violent but it never removed the violence completely.

FFS I remember perusing through one of my teachers EDCO stationary books in the late 80's and there was two pages full of various leather straps and so forth for dishing out the beatings. Most teachers had some equipment or other in the desk.

Seems mad now, but was taken as the norm back then.
