The reward for finishing top of the EL group is one of the CL drop outs in Club Brugge who are walking their own league and they seem decent on the road as only lost 1-0 to PSG and drew 2-2 with Real Madrid, meanwhile AZ for finishing 2nd got an easier tie in Lask.

Hard to be too critical on DeGea as he has bailed the team out on numerous occasions, yeah he should have been stronger but then again two attackers shouldnt have got away form their markers and got a run on him.

Some of the attacking play was clueless going into the last period, didnt move the ball quick enough and generally lacked ideas in the final third where it counts most.

Maybe he has, but that still doesn't excuse him.

Teams know they can get at United in the box due to De Gea's poor command of that area and his failure to put his body on the line. Goals conceded in the last two matches (City and Everton) proves this.

Serious questions must be asked of Martials future as a utd player?

Utd 3-0 up with an hour gone. Should empty the bench with the young lads.

Less than convincing 1st half with little or no creativity in midfield. At least the game was won within 10 minutes of the 2nd half. Opening goal was what this United team do best, counter attacking football.

A very busy January ahead with Arsenal (A) Wolves (H and A) Man City (H and A)  Norwich (H) Liverpool (A) Burnley (H). Ole better hope the first choice players don't pick up many injuries as the replacements are mostly deadwood that need to be shipped out.

Was listening to radio commentary last night and it appeared Maguire tweaked his hamstring but they took Tuanzebe off? Was he injutred as well? Good to make the semi final - City will be tough to beat over two legs.

Didn't notice that with Maguire although it was ridiculous playing him last night given the busy schedule ahead. Tuanzebe looked like he picked up an injury when he came off. Not a lot to learn last night apart from firming up my opinion Pereira is nowhere near good enough and Mata & Matic are finished.

Not the best draw, hoping we drew Villa.

Lets hope the Haaland rumours are true and we can pick up a midfielder on loan to fill a gap, squad is desperately thin on quality.

Ole going all out for the carabao cup with his team selection last night. A bit naive considering the heavy fixture schedule upcoming and the opportunity to climb the table.

Didn't see any injury for Maguire, Tuanzebe certainly got injured as he walked straight to the dressing room when subbed off.  Shaw, Rashford subbed off early as both will be likely starters v Watford, I'd say only 4 of last night's starting team will start on Sunday.

On another note, Sergio Romero, 32 clean sheets in 51 appearances for United now. Few better 2nd choice keepers around than him.

Romero should be first choice.

Romero has played mainly against lesser teams, his record is always going to look better.

Agreed. But a very good keeper.

I too was hoping Villa drew Utd. Mad how things have changed

He's a better keeper. That's why he should be first choice.
