The Northern Ireland Office (NIO) will be relieved to learn that while the GAA is committed to as comprehensive as possible an analysis of grassroots opinion, it will not allow those views to ultimately jeopardise the scheme.

Bit rich coming from the NIO who have shown their contempt for public opinion in NI with issues like the Water bills and the new Rates.
The question of water bills comes from an EU directive, its not (directly) the fault of the NIO.
Not what I was getting at; the NIO were recently hauled through the courts because they didn't consult the public correctly regarding Water, they had to consult the public for 13 weeks, but they arbitrarily reduced the consultation period to 10 weeks to avoid more shit from the public.

Armagh down for Saturday games? We've no floodlighted county ground as far as I'm aware?

Think I'll have a wager on Clontibret at 4/1, Cross are minus Bellew and Aaron Kernan, having seen them a few times this year I just think they're not a patch on the AI wining teams and quite ordinary, if they can stop Oisin they're half way there, having said that they could possibly still have to much experience for a young clontibret team; wouldn't put tuppence on Cross beaten Ballinderry or Errigal.

Have to be McGrane for me, dont want to go revisionist on McGeeney, but MCGrane has always been 'the man' imo.

And is John Raff up to the job of filling JK boots just because he won an all-ireland club with St Galls

Got to an All-Ireland final with St Galls would be more accurate.

Accusations of overreaction are way of the mark IMO, granted elsewhere within the corporation GAA gets a fair shake, but the glee that Watson (regularly) and Thompson (admittedly a once off)and their utv counterparts take in showing brawls during primetime news pisses me off.

Removing the macho/redneck attitude to fighting within the GAA would help too >:(

I hear Aaron Kernan's arm is broken after yesterday.
