Strange one. He was at Mayo trials a few weeks ago. No-one in vincents had a clue it was happening either. Teaches in Benildas so I suppose travel wise it probably makes sense.

Austin was not going to make the cut in Mayo this year. Why not, you might say? He was never any worse than 2 that got 60 mins the last day. But his FBD appearances did show that nothing has changed with the deficits in his game and he has been a panelist, with a lot of game time, since @03/04 without becoming the player some people thought he would be. That was a lot of investment by both him and successive managements. He could get a new lease of life elsewhere and I sincerely hope he does.
