2006 Leinster final Dubs v Offaly attendance 82000
2016 Leinster final Dubs v Westmeath attendance 39000
thats a lot of gate money gone down the drain in ten years. Im sure they are feeling the pain of doping the Dubs.

Kerry are 1/5 to beat cork . Unfortunately I am an unsuccessful gambler but if even 70%  of every 1/5 shot I ever did won I'd be a successful one . Point is Kerry are far from nailed on but most likely will .
I can see why you are not a successfull gambler, do the maths on that last statement lar. ::)

Who will have the pleasure of giving Cillian the golden boot, I am sure there are many that would oblige including many of his own county men. Such a lovely sporting fellow ::) ::) ::)

From memory- Ros got the Cup, then the ref found some Connacht Council officials to tell them he didn't allow the goal as the lad who placed the ball didnt take the kick and therefore Galway were the winners.

Eventually it was replayed and we won.
I remember the incident well. It was as you said except it was galway that put the pressure on and got the ref to change his decision after the match and Galway were presented with the cup.Ros were also in the senior final that day and it ended in a draw.I did not hear till after the senior  game that the minor result had been overturned, Every phone box in Ros was on the go that night but the Connacht council were standing firm it was Galways title,
A movement to boycot the senior replay and refuse to play it was gathering speed by the following morning and a meeting of ros supporters was being called for hyde park on the Wednesday evening. To avoid the rossie storm a replay was agreed by lunchtime on Monday and it was replayed on the following Wednesday evening back in Castlebar brfore the biggest crowd I have ever seen at a Connacht minor championship match.Roscommon won easliy by 4 or 5 points,
I'll disagree with your bit about Galway getting the Cup as I recall bumping into a few if the Ros minors at ht in the Senior game and one of them (Colm Kelly from Oran I think) had the Cup with him.

Yeah, Ros lads ran around the field with cup, and it was awarded to Galway later. The senior replay also produced a bonkers moment - the bizarre Jimmy Burke goal.

You could well be right about the cup, the feckin Jimmy Burke goal, when my Mayo cousins want to get me reved up they mention the Jimmy Burke Goal, I always maintained he fell over the ball and knocked it over the line with his p....

The late great Dermot Early was the best I have seen at the dropkick, used it in every match he played, was very accurate with it.

All counties have their own favs simply because they have a bias and have watched them on many occasions. Being from a smaller county myself I could nominate many of our own, most of them are mentioned already. My outstanding Rossie would be Harry Keegan a great right corner back. I put him ahead of Enda Colleran, any of the O Sheas from Kerry and many more great corner backs I have seen. When asked to nominate his most difficult opponent the great John Egan RIP from Kerry said Harry was the best he had played against. 3 time all star Harry only played in 1 all Ireland final and held John Egan scoreless that day.
My non Rossie nomination would be jinking Joe Corcoran, sweet silky skills he was absolite class in everything he did, he never got credit for it but he was as good a forward as ive ever seen. His only fault was he played with our greatest football enemies.

Can't imagine any GAA games being played behind closed doors.
Yes it will happen, if not this weekend then next weekend. They will want to complete the league before going into shutdown untill this is under control. I can see them cancelling the divisional finals and declaring the table toppers winners. What is happening in Cheltenham is wreckless at best and in a quickly evolving situation common sence must prevail.

Armagh folks, what's parking like or any tips for a handy spot?

Whats the mood like in Roscommon for this game? U men confident?
Confidence is not a thing you could assocciate with ros supporters, we have seen too many belly ups over the years, we are hoping for a win, looking forward to the game as I think Armagh are the best team we will play in this division,if we win we will be promoted and if we lose we have another bite at the cherry v Cavan, it will be close I think and I hope we can shade it.

Rescheduled for 1pm tomorrow on the Mayo GAA Twitter feed.

Mayo should do the decent thing and offer to play the game in Limerick tomorrow. Four of us travelled up from Listowel this morning. A decision on game should of been made sooner.

Looking forward to seeing the penalty replay on TV, was hard to tell from where I was in the stand, other than to say I've no time for Cassidy from Derry .... far too whistle happy for my liking.

Armagh were superb going forward in first half, defence shockingly bad in second.  Soupy seems to be the only forward we have capable of running at a defence.  Watched him limp off after the game, seemed to be in bother.

You'll see nothing on that joke of a program.

Looks like their division 2 coverage is finished

Getting worse every year. Yet people moan about Sky?

Turned it off as soon as I saw pundits.

Where are sky since last August?

Open to correction by it was my understanding SKY dont have any rights to the League.
No correction needed with me, SKY have no interest in the league or the gaa, does no rights prohibit them from giving results or any other information about gaa games, the only reason they buy the summer rights to our championship games is to stop irish people cancelling their subscriptions for the summer non premier league months.
