And can anyone here tell me wtf this has got to do with the future of Laois Gaa.???follow Offaly gaa there sorry on nights reading this crap
Fair enough apologies. It's just amazing to see for all this hype that Offaly are going places that something this obscure gets reported and a stand off you wouldn't expect to happen happens.

Anyways back to Laois Football related future and see the Laois Strategy and Action plan doing the rounds for review. Will be interesting to see if any changes
Some clubs taking up GDA in shared capacity for 2022 a positive. Will be interesting to see what future holds be it increase in number/quality of coaching of players.
Senior Championship numbers: Was mooted years ago exploring reducing 16 teams to 12. Like turkeys voting for Christmas but will it ever happen?

Its a messy situation. The GAA club own OCP and are within their rights to rent it as they see fit. OCB want a rent drop but have really got zero bargaining power as there is no other facility in county capable of hosting games so they must rent it. Tullamore GAA are driving a hard bargain on it but Im not sure what OCB were hoping for. A rent drop as a show of good faith to new regime? If that was the aim it all should have played out behind closed doors. Nobody budging now.
Never knew Tullamore Gaa owned OCP. Is there many other counties in same boat bar Croke Park?

Just walked in from work and thought nice that game's on earlier time. Peach of a pass from Bruno to Ronaldo for first goal.
Very end to end at the moment. Good to see Van de Beek getting a start.

If someone wants to start a new thread for 2021 fire away.

Mountmellick had a good win over Arles Kilcruise
Park Ratheniska beating an awful Timahoe side.
O'Dempseys beating a junior b standard Portlaoise side as they're holding back a strong team to try win junior A.
Crettyard beating the Rock with Evan O'Carroll scoring 2:9 I think.

Timahoe or Portlaoise to be relegated. After seeing Portlaoise team last night I'd say it'll be them.
Mountmellick or Crettyard to win it out.

How much was James bought for?

19 I think. Funny thing is he has played this year, maybe that helps with the sale, valuation etc. Useless though.
More power to him. Just didn't work out. A Welsh Traore; plenty of speed but no end product when it boils down to it.

It'll be interesting to see who leaves by tomorrow's transfer deadline. For all the incomings with Ronaldo surely there will be 2-3 out the door. Diallo loan seems to have fallen through with injury. James or lingard who knows. Hard to see Henderson make a claim after COVID and de gea coming back to some form.
Interested to hear your thoughts on it.

United in talks now! (Ronnie)

Do i lose me shit keep me shit or wipe me shit. Im all confused now.

Tell ye what, this transfer window hasnt disappointed. Too bad its mainly the mega rich but still, plenty excitement on offer
It's starting to remind of that time Man United wanted to get one over on Man City and sign Alexis Sanchez because Man City were going too. That worked out well for them.....

At best probably a year or 2 at United and retire at Sporting Lisbon or MLS.
Be interesting to see who leaves as a result. Cavani would be a big loss if he left before end of window.

The debate around championship restructuring in Laois is an important one, but I wouldn't hold my breath on something being done to address the systemic problems that have been staring us in the face for years now.

The truth is that there is zero appetite for change. People are happy with the championship being s***. Clubs like Killeen and The Heath, who haven't produced anything in years, retain their senior tag every year thanks to a s*** championship. Why would they want to change that?

It would give clubs like the Heath a good kick up the arse were it reduced to 12. Plenty of clubs senior by name at this stage in the county.
It worked relatively well in the hurling in Laois when it was reduced from 12 to 8 teams. A 12 team senior football championship is the way to go. They reduced number of senior football teams in Kerry in recent times if I'm not mistaken.

Miles ahead of everyone else. Great team , every aspect of them from physical prowess to skill

Can see Horgan retiring for Cork after today. That was demoralising on Cork today. Very open in the backs but an incredible outfit up against in fairness.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Brian Cody step away from Kilkenny as well. Not within an asses roar of an Ireland in next 4-5 years. I'd be surprised if Limerick don't win next year at a canter like they did today.

Conlan struggling with the weight, would love to see him beat tomorrow night.
why?

So we don't have to listen to Grace again  :D

Went the distance last night Doheny gave a decent account of himself but never looked like winning fight. Conlon probably on course for a world title shot. Seemed to be a great atmosphere at Falls Park

Thought the crowd were very poor in supporting the fighters...expected more

Was following fight TV and seen chat function and came to a point to what type of joints lads were smoking. At the fight. Great lads
