Funny enough I was listening to some commentary on the US election and they said that Trump got on a lot of podcasts all over America during the previous months.

That's how he got through to 'mainstream' people.

He got his word out that way and it worked.

Think I heard somewhere that his Joe Rogan podcast got 14 million downloads.  Definitely the way to get a message across these days.  I'm convinced these TV debates sway about a half a dozen voters.

Yes the Joe Rogan podcast certainly helped his campaign. There were perhaps similar Biden type concerns about Trump but this podcast certainly seemed to put this to bed.  Barron Trump is supposed to have encouraged this approach.

Please don't be buying into this Barron narrative that has developed since he won the election.
Hardly a mention of him before the result was known and now we are supposed to believe he was this genius behind the whole campaign.
He would be the first genius in that family. Money and influence maybe the rest  :-\

Have they identified the "safe areas in Ukraine"?

What have they said now?

A few "novel" ideas there. Whether is can be delivered is another thing and I can't see this getting much of a thumbs up from people who burn down hotels in their own town.

Hie much more public money to useless soccer?
Labour obviously never heard of Gaelic games

Labours soccer plan launched in Drogheda today....

The plan pledges that the party will work closely with the FAI to provide significant investment in the game - from the grassroots to international level - and make a career in the sport in Ireland more viable.

The Labour party has also promised to expand football as a transition year subject, provide a portion of broadcast revenue to League of Ireland clubs and work with the Executive in Northern Ireland to consider the feasibility of an all-island football league.

Speaking at the briefing, Ged Nash said a football industry must be created in this country.

"We can only do that with sustainable government support, year-on-year, on a multi-annual basis. And the reality is, in terms of funding and political support over the years, football, our game, the beautiful game, the people's game, has been the poor relation.

"All of the evidence is there to show that Labour were committed to increasing the betting levy by 1% each year and ring-fencing €30m that we generate from that for our game.

"We would also commit to ensuring that the Large Scale Sports Infrastructure Fund is funded on a multi-annual basis."

I think a number of EU countries require EU and EEA citizens to register with the authorities there.  Poland and Spain definitely.  Spain is actually very strict.

Yes, but they likely impose similar registration requirements for a Spanish citizen if you move within Spain. Why would you require EU citizens to register and not British ones?

Everyone needs their foreign identity number (NIE). You also have to register your domicile with the local jurisdiction, as this affects healthcare, education, local taxes etc.

It's a bureaucratic pain in the ass but I don't think it's particularly strict.

Hardly anything too mad..

Which 'safe' part of Ukraine would you bring your family to for a weekend break?

Most parts of Ukraine are a bit like the 6 counties in the 1970s, a bomb may go off but just as many are killed in road accidents. If I had business in Lviv then I would go there.

Not sure where it mentions Ukraine in that article?

Anyway, the bulk of Ukraine is safe ffs.
