Go and do a bit of reading on AIPAC there milltown.

Educate yourself there first.

The Russians wouldn't get a look in in terms of election interference compared to them.

If AIPAC have both candidates in their pocket, why would they need to interfere in the election?

"Support for AIPAC among congressional members includes a majority of members of both the Democratic and Republican Parties. According to AIPAC, the annual Policy Conference is second only to the State of the Union address for the number of Federal officials in attendance at an organized event."

Crazy if you think about it.

They have no idea what to do now.

I'd say they've a fair idea. Pretty much none of it good.

What exactly can they do to the constitution to ensure the Dems never get a chance at getting back in?

Dan Goldman was just on POTUS

He said that the Ethics Committee were due to deliver a (scathing) report on Gaetz tomorrow but by resigning that report will no longer be published

He claimed that him (and many others) don't believe Gaetz will ever be put forward to a Senate hearing

Changes to the constitution (other than the Supreme Court deciding some part thereof is unconstitutional) require a very high bar in terms of state approval and/or majorities in congress.

I think the greater danger is new policies/rules that could be argued are consistent with the constitution as written, and would likely get approved as constitutional by the SC (think how the SC approved the idea that the 2nd amendment (gun rights) applied to individual gun-ownership despite many decades of precedence of it being read as applying only within the background of an organized militia).

I suppose Trump could declare emergency powers in the run-up to an election too.  Though Congress could veto it, depending on where the numbers are at any such point.

Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska told NBC News on Wednesday that Gaetz was not "a serious nomination". "I'm looking forward to the opportunity to consider somebody that is serious. This one was not on my bingo card."

Captain Obvious

Marco Rubio is Trumps pick for Secretary of State. He's honored by the trust Trump has placed in him.

The pair had plenty of Schoolyard Insults.

On shvitzing

Trump: "I have never seen a human being sweat like this man sweats. ... It looked like he had just jumped into a swimming pool with his clothes on." (Trump then splashed water onstage yelling, "It's Rubio!")

Rubio: "He was having a meltdown. First he had this little makeup thing, applying like makeup around his mustache because he had one of those sweat mustaches."

On height

Trump: "Little Marco Rubio is just another Washington D.C. politician that is all talk and no action "RobotRubio"

Rubio: "He's always calling me Little Marco. And I'll admit he's taller than me. He's like 6'2″, which is why I don't understand why his hands are the size of someone who is 5'2″. Have you seen his hands? They're like this. And you know what they say about men with small hands? You can't trust them."

On faces

Trump: "He has really large ears, the biggest ears I've ever seen."

Rubio: "Donald is not going to make America great, he's going to make America orange."

On education

Trump: "The Rubios of the world could not get into that school [Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, which Trump attended]. Oy. They don't have the capacity."

Rubio: "How does this guy, not one tweet, but three tweets, misspell words so badly? And I only come to two conclusions. Number one, that's how they spell those words at the Wharton School of Business, where he went, and number two, just like Trump Tower, he must have hired a foreign worker to do his own tweets."

On everything else

Rubio on Trump's debate nerves: "He wanted a full-length mirror. Maybe to make sure his pants weren't wet."

Rubio on Trump's signature hairdo: "He's flying around on Hair Force One."

Rubio is a noble statesman compared to some of the others.

RFK Jr in charge of HHS.

Words fail.

Trump is a genius, he keeps making each pick crazier than the previous one so we forget how crazy the previous picks were.

Next MTG, Boebert and Alex Jones.

He promised RFK Jr that position should he become president again so for once he wasn't lying. USA better hope another pandemic doesn't happen with that loon overseeing health care.

If he would focus on stuff like that, I'd have zero issue with him.

That's not why he was selected, however.
