Quote from: No1 on Today at 01:59:36 PMJC, this is first election we have to vote in the Strangford constituency.  The nationalist choice isn't great compared to our previous constituency of South Down.  I feel a bit dis-enfranchised!  :o

Welcome to the world of tactical voting  ;D

Anyone but Jim Shannon, but I'd still struggle to put an X beside Mike Nesbitt and It seems that with the new boundary changes may cause the DUP issues if Alliance get those extra votes!

Haven't a clue about that particular Alliance candidate..

Never heard of Will Polland, the SDLP'er, but he's all the looks of a lad from a well heeled area like Kilclief  ;D

Quote from: Brendan on Today at 12:23:05 PMThe Tories have moved so far to the right to combat UKIP and now Reform growthbin popularity, Labour are following them in the drift right instead of sticking to what should be their principles

This "growth" in Reform didn't really cut through in the local elections where they only got two Councillors elected in the whole of England and Wales.

The amount of screen time Farage and Tice get isn't representative of who people are actually voting for.

Their share of the vote was barely at double digits.

Co-incides with US Election

*Glass Shatters*

Stone Cold Theme hits and Big Don who's been re-elected comes down the ramp to hit a Stunner on Netanyahu and tell him to stop acting the twat

Of all the outcomes of Trump getting re-elected, him putting the breaks on the Netanyahu regime is about the least plausible.

I think we all know Trump if re-elected won't stop the bombing of Gaza one bit and the only thing that MAY differentiate the Republicans and Biden is that Biden wouldn't allow a Nuclear strike like that monstrosity Lindsey Graham suggested.

US foreign policy since WW2 has been very divisive and dangerous in various regions throughout the world and led to the deaths of millions at this stage.

The Russians and the Chinese couldn't hold a candle to them.

Would going to Oxford and studying Classics, ancient languages, literature, history, and philosophy be considered a Mickey Mouse degree?

Quote from: Lubo Moravcik on April 03, 2024, 03:10:59 PMI was forced to watch Legally Blonde the other night and believe it or not it was a pretty decent comedy.

Legally Blonde (the original) and White Chicks are my guilty pleasures.

Cancelling "Mickey Mouse" degrees.

The Torys are throwing out policies two to a dozen to see if any of them will actually get traction with voters.

This is the the type of person "Christian" conservatives vote for. Tell me this, if you lived in Gaza and were fit and able, how could you not join Hamas when you see what is going on around you.

Maybe now some of you will believe myself and J70 (when it comes to how the Democrats and Republicans differ when it comes to Gaza)

Democrats just gave them the bombs and Haley wrote a message on it. Which is worse? Yanks are morons in general.

Believe whatever you want

If Haley and the republicans were in power the bombs would still be raining down on refugee camps in Rafah and Gaza.

Both Republicans and the Democrats are pieces of shít.

Believe whatever you want

Explain to the Palestinians what the difference is.

Abbott says Labour wont have her and Starmer says he doesnt know what she's on about.

Shambles from Labour, but I doubt it will cost them a huge amount of votes.

The Muslim vote may not turn out and that may have an impact on several potential Labour candidates.

Starmer, Lammy and Nandy in particular are in the claws of the Israeli lobby and their funds.

Quote from: NorthAntrim on May 29, 2024, 12:17:28 PMAlso at the minute we dont need to be debating potential managers. Id hope Gleeson in the next week or so would commit(along with all the players) to at least another year.

He'll be waiting to see what the likes of his home county and maybe Galway do in relation to their current managers now that they've exited the championship a bit earlier than they'd have liked.

If you are going to give it to someone, internally or not, you just can't go lumping someone else in with them just to suit a certain perceived bias or balance, i.e. Horse with someone from the city!

Whoever you give it to needs to live and die on their own sword and let them bring in whoever they need or want as in the end it's them that will have to work with the whole team, coaches and all.

Quote from: gallsman on May 28, 2024, 10:51:55 AMDon't know a thing about Collins other than the bit about Bush loving his "let's not be conquerors" speech. What's he done since?!

He's dined out on that since.

A bit like that móron, Johnny Mercer, no real intelligence to speak off even through the plummy voice.

Down / Re: Down Club Hurling & Football
May 28, 2024, 04:10:59 PM
Quote from: dingle82 on May 27, 2024, 09:46:00 AMGood win in Croke Park for the U20's. Although it is B grade, hopefully encourage a number of the players to buy into the county system. Good year for the senior hurlers, Division 3 and Joe Mcdonagh status retained - however lack of clubs providing hurling making it difficult to push to next level.

There's more clubs providing hurling than there ever was in Down, the All county P4 and P6 blitzes have kids from teams and area's that haven't fielded in such a long time and in good numbers and long may it continue.
