Quote from: AustinPowers on June 30, 2024, 12:14:19 PMSo, the Niall Grimley  attacking mark yesterday

Should he have been given  his attacking free/mark?

If only we had a referee on the  board  ;D
imo i would have given it to him. Landed infield
Quote from: thewobbler on June 29, 2024, 04:48:33 PMThe second one was a square shoulder to man carrying the ball. One of the few legitimate ways to tackle in football. Never a foul.
It's one of those ones where the ref will always punish the aggresor in that sort of tackle. It's not the typical shoulder to shoulder when running side by side with each other.
Quote from: nrico2006 on June 26, 2024, 09:35:53 PMWhat is the point in wasting your vote on a candidate who won't take their seat.
To answer your question in my honest opinion. Just because a SF MP doesn't take their seat doesn't mean they don't work for their constituency. On the other hand if you ever watch politics live you'll see that the second there is any motions for Northern Ireland the chamber empties out to SDLP, Alliance and DUP MP's and about 4 or 5 80 year Tory MP's who are just waiting about for the canteen to open. Northern Ireland is nothing but an irrelevance to Westminster unfortunatley.

Quote from: johnnycool on June 26, 2024, 01:36:42 PMSouthgate faces a few big decisions but he hasn't shown the toy dolls to do that to date.

He needs to drop Bellingham and Kane, stick Foden in centrally with Watkins, Gordon out on the left and Palmer on the right for Sakha.

Maino will indeed start the next game and rightly so alongside Rice.

Trippier is dodgy enough but the other three at the back have held their own to date.

Would rather Southgate went with this team if shaw doesn't get fit.

Quote from: Gerard O'Neill on June 24, 2024, 11:46:56 AMThe final 20 mins of the game were very entertaining after a pretty boring affair. It's a pity both sides didn't go for it earlier - could have been the game of the tournament so far.

I am reading that Varga was knocked unconscious and has several broken bones in his face.

Who hit/bumped into him? I couldn't tell from the replays.

Quote from: Itchy on June 23, 2024, 11:10:20 PMDid anyone see a replay of the res card yet. It was the winning of the game. To be a straight red it would have to have intent or reckless aggression.
Seen a still of the collision. Sligo lads arm was up at Savages face. Not sure whether it was this impact or the impact to the ground that caused the KO

Quote from: Nanderson on June 23, 2024, 09:38:30 PMLooked a strong shout for a pen for Scotland. Not sure if he was maybe offside when the ball was played through but VAR didn't even warrant a ref check

Does VAR not check all incidents like that?
The only reason that couldn't have been given for is offside in the build up. Very easy to prove that with the new semi automated offside they are using but no sign of any pictures

Quote from: LC on June 10, 2024, 04:53:13 PMI take it with GAA Go it is still a matter of plugging the laptop in to the TV?

I presume there is no direct way you can purchase it on a smart tv?

How do you get it on the tv, via the laptop?

HDMI cable.. Should be a slot on your Laptop for it.

Any of those with a Dodgy Firestick, GAAGO channels seems to be on it

Does it just link up to tv and away you go?
Yes plug 1 end into laptop and 1 into tv. Depending on how high your tv is you might need anything up to 2m one. Then just change the input mode on the tv to hdmi (some tv's might have multiple hdmi slots eg HDMI1, HDMI2 and so on. So just flick through them until you see the game on the tv)

Quote from: J70 on June 01, 2024, 09:45:54 PMIt's getting as boring as City and the PL.

And wait till Mbappe arrives.

With Mbappe on one wing and Vinicius on the other and Bellingham down the middle they will be impossible to contain. Only City will be able to stop them.
Next season they will line up with Vini wide left, Endrick wide right bellingham the 10 behind mbappe. Very scary. Although they are losing kroos in midfield and possibly modric

Quote from: AustinPowers on May 24, 2024, 11:00:33 AMIN all honesty, can  anyone see Ten Hag  being still there next season?

I don't think  there's a hope in hell he'll be there come August, fa cup win or not. I would imagine his replacement  has been sorted out weeks ago

Having watched his FA Cup final press conference he doesn't sound like a manager that's departing.  Looking at those touted in the media to replace him none would be much of a upgrade and few would be down grades.

On McKenna did a decent job as coach when Ole was United manager and has done well with ipswich he'll have plenty of interest from lots of clubs now but might stick with Ipswich for another year and avoiding relegation with them would be another successfully season
There were leaks when he was a coach that his trainings weren't very good. Has maybe improved but he was already thrown under the bus before to help sack Ole by the players
Loved the soundtrack in the background of Rishis announcement. Someone blaring out 'Things can only get better'
