Not really a surprise, given his health issues (brain cyst?) as well as that chaos at the start of the season.

He should have been fired after the scandal broke but OSU is as morally bankrupt as Meyer. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The Hernandez podcast series was good as a human interest story in that it put his whole life in context but it really didn't tell us anything we didn't already know about college or professional football. It did confirm Meyer and Belichick are tosspots, though.
You fit into the last sentence as well.....

Damn. You totally destroyed me.

It's an incredible and nearly unheard of luxury to have a former SEC PotY as your back-up QB. I can see Bama walking through the playoffs with the extra perpetration time it allows them now.

Told ye Wilder was rubbish.

Imagine what this fight would be if Fury was actually in shape.

He absolutely justified the hype ffs. He was outboxed for the entire fight and then absolutely floored him. Fury looked out cold at first.

That's all he needs to do at heavyweight. Nobody has ever claimed he's Sugar Ray Robinson.

Pretty clear he needed dodgy judges tonight, too. Heavy punchers are a dime a dozen.

But glad to see you take the 'argue every point' atitude even when I'm literally proven right.

Told ye Wilder was rubbish.

Imagine what this fight would be if Fury was actually in shape and in England with halfways objective judging.

The draw will tie these two up for the first half of 2019 and it means the real fight I and anyone interested in the sport wants to see, Fury v Joshua, is going to be late 2019 if at all. Yikes.

Yeah but really, what's worse? Seeing the video and doing nothing until it came to the attention of the public or bring so incredibly inept and burying their heads in the sand to not request the video in the first place?

Apparently the league asked for it several times but hotel refused to turn it over and were only obliged to turn it over to the police

Actually surprised they cut him, this isn't Ray Rice, it's a player at the top of his game on a team with a great chance of getting to a SB

You're surprised they cut a player kicking a woman on a video. Right.

Lol, your attempts to portray everyone else as some sort of moral low life are laughable.

The NFL has tolerated plenty of similar incidents in the past, so yes, them cutting him quickly is actually surprising.

And it's usually the league that deals with the player, teams are usually happy to take their chances and keep the player on the team. The more talent the more "patience"..........

Did you somehow sleep through Ray Rice and MeToo? The shocking aspect is Hunt wasn't cut when the Chiefs first learnt of it, not that he belatedly was now.

Do you even read posts ? Team or league were not aware of video until now, that has widely been reported

Do you even read posts? They were aware of the incident for a long time. All that's changed is they have no plausible deniability with a video proving what anyone with any knowledge of the situation would already know.

And talking about it disadvantaging a professional sports team in a race for a meaningless bit of tin is distasteful to put it mildly. There's much bigger issues here.

I never said every club

One or two in each county available to play club games in any weather would be huge.
You could run primary school blitzes all year round.
Colleges and 3rd level games need neutral venues.

An indoor pitch in the middle of nowhere in Mayo isn't much use to most gaa people in connacht for playing games

Bekan is pretty centrally located in Connacht so you've contradicted yourself in two successive paragraphs.

Will the FBD final be in a neutral venue? Or will it be played in Bekan?

FBD league matches have always been played home/away when counties play each other. Don't now why you think that would change.

Because it's not a league system next year. The biannual Ballinlough/Ballyhaunis games won't be going ahead.

Yes an open draw format next year which will likely mean a neutral venue for the final.

The Connacht championship is an open draw 'system' too

Must have missed all those neutral venue Connacht matches

If it's a Ros-Mayo final it will be in McHale Park seven days before both teams meet at the same venue in the league as this year's match was in the Hyde.

Farrell seems the smart choice to replace Schmidt. I read that the only teams to prevent the All Blacks scoring a try in 23 years were us a week ago and the Lions last summer, both defensively coached by Farrell. Clearly he was about to get a head coaching job somewhere, so why not with us and try to ensure some continuity with our best ever management team post-WC?

England may come to regret letting Farrell walk in the aftermath of the Lancaster disaster.

Meanwhile in Caaaaaaaavan...

Meanwhile in cavan pre season friendlies are taking place with no one taking them too seriously and no one predicting glory on the result of same.

I know it's the one time of the year ye can't be bate by Roscommon but do you really have to take the opportunity to pick fights with everyone else?
