Saw that selection earlier and assumed it was another joke to go along with the 60 best All-Stars selection not too long ago. Silly season for the GAA but this is pathetic.

I assumed it must have been a Martin Breheny special.

John Galvin was the obvious omission to me, at least on the subs. Clearly superior to Paddy Keenan.

Sidney

Looks like something done up in five minutes on the inside of a cornflakes box but I guess that's the point.

O'Hara over McDonald is an obvious WUM.

Michael Meehan or Paddy Bradley are more worthy of a place than Declan Browne.

Andy Mallon and Keith Higgins easily the two best corner backs.

Colm Boyle over Aaron Kernan.

Glen Ryan?  What century are we talking about here? ;D

Alan Dillon is at least worthy of a place on the bench.

While Glenn was obviously at his best in the 90s, think he did enough from 2000-2003 to sneak in here. Key role in run to AI semi in 2000 and brilliant performance in 03 Leinster final spring to mind.

Agree with a lot of the other players you mention but in fairness it seems to be a squad made up entirely of retired players which would disqualify a lot of the lads you mention.

Not sure about Meehan and Bradley instead of Browne. Meehan's career has been wrecked by injury, Derry had a hard time getting Paddy on the field some years, whereas Browne was excellent season in season out for a long time.

Kieran McDonald probably more gifted than all six forwards picked ahead of him. Certainly better than O'Hara.

Enda Muldoon (Derry), Paddy Bradley (Derry), Ciaran McDonald (Mayo) should all be on that team.  Bradley was/is better than both Brown and Forde and did it consistently year in year out.  McDonald would have a strong argument for best 15 of this millenium and Muldoon was class personified.  Michael Meehan should be in there too, had a great 5 or 6 seasons.  Why no mention of Keith Higgins, another definite starter.

Being a big derry man and fan of paddy bradley i would still have to disagree on paddy being better than declan browne,Declan was a amazing player and if born in kerry would go down as a all time great imo.

There aren't many forwards better than Paddy Bradley that have won all irelands, he'd walk on that team.
