I can't see the rich getting much richer.  In the US the top 1% own 40% of everything and doubling that is not on. Most financial assets are seriously overvalued and political volatility is on the rise. Tax havens are a joke and mean the rich have given up on investment.
Accountancy should be replaced by a profession that is honest. The main role of accountants these days including the big 4 is tax avoidance.

How do you replace a profession ffs? Accountants are no different to lawyers, engineers, judges, doctors.  They provide a service and there are good and bad in them all.
Take their licences off them until the profession is cleaned up . Engineers don't facilitate the wholesale pauperization of society to benefit the top 1%

Lol.  Every accountant to hand in their calculators.  FTSE 100 companies telling their shareholders (that's pension funds, ordinary people, employees etc) that they aren't sure if they are making any money or can pay a dividend because every accountant has to prove their innocence. Wise up ffs

The europa league exit and international break might have helped United in the cup. If the West ham replay had been 10 days after the first game the way both teams were playing you would have backed the hammers all day. As it happens United have found a bit of form and solidity at the back in particular and would be slight favourites now in my opinion.

The sheer size of the leak is massive.  Multiple times bigger than any of the files wiki leaks ever got hold of for its big exposes.

Wheels look like they are firmly staying on!  Stuff of champions.  Five out of last six won one nil.  Takes some balls that

Does no one find this boring to watch, or the death of football, or annoyed that Leicester are parking the bus?

Really Norf?? ;)

Holy shit - what a final over

That's some bottle job by England

To be fair, the only English player who touched the ball in the last over was stokes!

This story coming on the heels of the OO report isn't a coincidence, it looks more like an attempt to legitimise the OO concerns.

Its a non-story - there is nothing untoward going on here, the working population reflects the demography, as acknowledged in the article itself. However, its irresponsible and inflammatory, and will be seized upon by the usual 'pul' suspects.

As an aside - the tele is becoming even more one-sided in these times of peace. What a rag.

Was always going to happen when gail walker took over as editor last year. If you ever had the misfortune to read any of her articles you could see where it was going to end up. Jim Allister with Gregory Campbell as proof reader would give a more balanced view.  I wouldn't even buy the rag anymore for the job pages.

Looking forward to another season of balanced reporting Aerlik, at least when Freo and WC are playing! ;)

First round highlights for me were a cracking game between the cats and hawks with geelong pulling away in the last quarter for the win. The hawks were very good in patches but missed roughead badly up front and hills running. Dangerfield was fantastic for the cats in his debut. Him and Selwood are as good a midfield pairing as I've seen. Expect at least one of these two to be playing in the grand final.

Swans destroyed a well fancied magpies who lost dane swan early to a nasty looking knee injury.

Cologne left back hector had been linked so that might be who your thinking off LL.  Don't know much about him to be honest. Hopefully Matip will give us a physical presence in the air that had been missing since Sami retired. However I would like a ball playing centre half, a fit version of Agger!

Gotze rumour seems to be gathering legs although it might just be that he is German.  In the houllier era we were linked with every French player on the market, under Rafa you just had to be Spanish to be signed and under Rodgers.....

Gotze would be a decent signing but quite similar to couthinho and firminio? I would be happier with a big name centre back.

And the Browns sign RGIII.  johnny's circus just left town, and now a 3-ring circus has arrived to replace it.  Well, at least the media focus will still be on Cleveland....

Kaepernick future looking uncertain as well in the niners. 3 to 4 years ago both these guys were talked about as being  right up there with Cam and Wilson. Some decline.

That said,I would not be surprised to see him at denver come 1St April. If he is still at San Francisco then a guaranteed $12m salary kicks in

He signed Caulker who can't defend, then decided to play him as a striker.

He also thought it would be a good idea to give Mignolet a new contract.

Two terrible decisions.

Is Caulker not on loan?

Pay him no heed - he's been peddling this shite on the Liverpool thread since he became a "supporter" a few months ago.

This caulker thing really seems to grate bless him.

Liverpool   had issues with cb injuries so signed a player with premier league experience on loan as a short term cover. He was thrown up front in a game Liverpool were chasing. Liverpool score late equaliser in said game after caulker puts himself about up front and generally did all right.

I'm not seeing anything above that is bad management.  It's called adapting?
