QuoteAlso heard it is a massive improvement.

says who?

out tomorrow, might splash out on both of these in the near future

Like the games that much? :o

Yeah, well I reckon if i give them my money eventually they might make a good one. Although they might think that we would buy any old shite they throw at us and things will never improve. But as for the last game, I traded it in after a week.

Well I'd know the main rules of the game, but wouldn't know much tactical wise.  I dont play any sport at the moment and would be interested in giving this a go, but dont fancy joining a team where everyone else has huge experience of the sport, but if teams are willing to train beginners then I would love to try it out.  Ya I heard there was a team setting up in Galway, I'm an hour from the city but I would have no problem driving in and out.  Might look it up further.  Thanks for the information juice.

No team would turn anyone away, irrespective of knowledge, fitness or size. every year people start out without any experience of the game, I've trained with lads who didnt have a clue what they were at. If you've watched the game, or play Madden on your PS2 or whatever, you know as much as anyone who goes out for the first time. By the way its played to NCAA rules and not NFL rules.

RE:Galwaybhoy

(I wouldnt say hurlings easy to get the hang of  :P , not for a Meath man anyway)

There are a team setting up in Galway if your still living there. Think they're in the city. Its not too hard to get into, if you already know how the game is played from TV, ie the different roles and positions. JUst as long as you know the general rules, i think most important is understanding the Holding rule and the Offside rule. there the ones that catch the beginners out the most. the other most important thing is to listen to the coaches and also you'll be given a play book, and you must learn it in your spare time.

Record 109 yard touchdown run, San Diego on a Short Field Goal. Ridiculous catch at the back of the End Zone. 14-14 vs Vikings. Damn good game. Adrian Peterson is fantastic. Hope he's on your fantasy team. Vikes QB Jackson out of the game with concussion. Went in hard on a scramble instead of sliding.

In other news the Irish American Football League is hoping to have 12 fully kitted teams competing next season. compared to last years nine. Game is growing and growing in Ireland. Get into it!!

thejuice, are you involved in this, do you play yourself?  Seems interesting.

I played for the Dublin Dragons for a few years before I moved across the water. Played for the college over here and am hoping to join up with the local team here. Its a bollox trying to balance playing GAA and Gridiron though. They either clashing or your just too broke up to play. Teams are openly recruiting are setting up flag football for the youngsters. When I move home again I will line out for the Dragons unless by then there is a team in the Royal county.

Lions are playing great, happy for them, they're no longer the whipping boys of the NFL. Packers won again too. Brett Farve, Superbowl, Final Year??????

Anyone else notice the cold handshake Tony Dungy got from Bill Bellichick after the game. I think after he got fined for cheating he's got pissed off and is wrecking revenge on the league, ie running up late scores. But still dont know what he'd have against Dungy, he seems a reasonable guy.

I'm Houston at the minute and have been back and forward many times over the last few years.  Some of the attitudes out here are astounding.  An awful lot of young white Texans I've met are openly racsit.  All the oil companies I've visited are staffed by white men.  Even in San Antionio where the population is mostly hispanic.  Critiscing Bush is dangerous.  I had a univeristy educated geologist tell me that the only mistake Bush made was not nuking Iran, Irag, North Korea and France!  A guy I spoke to at the weekend mentains that Christianity is the only ture religion all others are man made religions.  Muslins, Budists etc. will go to hell.  Darwin was wrong etc...

As for the video clip at the start of this thread.  Did anyone else notice that Australia is labeled North Korea.

Yeah the deep south is fucked up place. I'd like to go to America but I wouldnt go near Texas or Utah(morman country). Would love to go to New YOrk again and Boston and Chicago, Denver, Indy, the normal states.

have to chip this one in, was doing the rounds before Kick-off last sunday in Wembley:

Q: What do the Dophlins and James Bond have in common???

A: 0-0-7

A Jets fan got kicked out by security in front of us for hitting another fan(who was dressed as superman). I was standing beside the Jets fan after half time beside the tunnell where the Giants were coming out. He was roaring at Michael Strahan "you f**king f**got, Strahan, your shit", I just said to him, "jesus calm down there lad" he took one look at me and saw i was wearing a Giants top so he just ignored me and kept heckling Strahan. What an asshole, glad he got thrown out, to a chorus, started by myself, of "na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, GOODBYE!!"

ANYWAY!!!!

More Importantly, This weekend.

Indianapolis Colts Vs New England Patriots

Brady Vs Manning

Moss Vs Harrison

Unbeaten Vs Unbeaten

I cant wait!!!

Slightly favour Patriots. Colts are beating everyone whereas Patriots have detroyed everyone. But Colts have won this duel the last 3 times. I think this will come down to creating serious pressure on the QB. the WR are almost impossible to cover. And dont worry too much about the running game. Get in Brady or Mannings face and force mistakes. Not easy against 2 solid O-Lines but thats all they can do.

Live and Dangerous had some guitar parts re-recorded in the studio to improve on the original recording, but not the audience.

AC/DC : If you want blood (you've got it) is probably the best. Raw Energy
Agree with Led Zeps BBC Sessions, they're fantastic.
AC/DC's Live with BJ on vocals is great too but not as good as IYWBYGI
Havent heard Maidens Live After Death but its meant to be great, ol Brucie giving a great performance I hear.
James Brown at the Apollo is a great performance but lacks his latter day hits.

Didnt like Metallicas S&M. thought it was balls. A better one is the DVD of the Seatle 89 gig on the Live Binge and Purge box set.

VH1 Storey Tellers Johnny Cash & Willie Nelson together is a great live album too.

Oh and how could I forget Eric Clapton:Unplugged
