Quote from: Aaron Boone on Today at 02:55:06 PMDerry wouldn't have been far away from winning it either. It was a very tight Ulster final. They could be counted as the moral champions.

Probably won't have long to wait as will likely be favourites to win the 2025 U20 All Ireland.

They won't care however Tyrone should have won that final by 15+ points.  What's with all the number 11 talk? Anyone that has been watching him stand out at minor, schools or U20 this year should know Eoin McElholm name at this stage.

Roscommon last week and Kerry today have made Tyrone's task easier by leaving themselves wide open defensively once turned over. That type of defending doesn't happen too often Ulster.

Cavan have to be the most inconsistent team around at the moment? Last championship match able to bring Tyrone to extra time and today not able to give Mayo a decent game.  Tyrone and Mayo are around the same level.   In the league this year able to give Donegal a competitive match and then Cavan was truly useless against Armagh.

Quote from: Armagh18 on May 18, 2024, 06:46:30 PMIn fairness Harte did a super job with Louth.
Considering Louths performance against Dublin last week.. ?
They were div 4 when he took over. Would they have done as well against Dublin or even got to a Leinster final without the work Harte put in?

No is the short answer. Tyrone heads trying to belittle what Harte has done in his management career especially with Tyrone is mildly amusing and now bitter that he's managing Derry.

What has mickey done since 2008? Hasn't beaten mayo, kerry or dublin in 16 years of championship football. I said years ago he should have left tyrone. These are facts.

Tyrone could well be on zero senior All Ireland titles right now but for what Harte did. Even the last covid All Ireland won in 2021 it was a Tyrone side built by Mickey Harte. True facts is some of you Tyrone heads are very ungrateful.

Derry winless against Galway in the championship and will be thanks to McKinless today.

Just Padraig McGrogan that featured in the match against Galway in the league game not named on that Derry 26 and he's replaced by McKinless. A depleted side and potential injury crisis?

Another half to play however Leeds United have  more or less sealed a place in Championship play off final. Who would they Leeds United prefer in the final Southampton or West Brom?

Quote from: Captain Obvious on May 16, 2024, 03:54:33 PMCan anyone from Dublin tell me why Ciarán Archer who would be around 24 now hasn't made the step up to Dublin senior team and is he even on the panel at the moment?

A talented player but don't think he better than what on panel now. Quality freetaker but for me doesn't do enough from play  and without the ball. He was on senior panel in 2022 but picked up an injury and never got back in.

A few of the forwards on the Dublin panel at the moment Ross McGarry,Killian O'Gara,Lorcan O'Dell,Killian McGinnis. He must have fallen back a fair bit from his days standing out at U20 level if not better than some of them now.

CS I'm an antrim man. We'd a good win against Tipp though they did give us a few problems which was worrying. I think Sligo might be too much for us so Wexford a big game for us. It is 2 go through and not 3 right?? (3 going through in a 4 team group like the sam maguire is ridiculous).

Only two in one group as doesn't New York take the place of the worst 3rd placed team?

As seen with the Super 8s two into the knock out stages means more dead rubber round 3 group games.
