If you are fan of the TV series you will be disappointed.

What are the views of Aftersun? Thought it was excellent and Mescal was brilliant in it.
Really slow burn and it's one that stays with you.

Just watched this and agree with all that.

Very thought provoking and have to say the girl who plays his daughter in it is phenomenal as well!

Watched The Swimmers recently on Netflix (a true story of 2 middle class Syrians journey from Syria ultimately to Germany), a grim eye opener.

Good shout, watched last night, as you say an eye opener

J70

Cocaine Bear.

Reviews were mixed, but I thought it was a good laugh. Definitely recommend it.

Not for the kids though - a lot of graphic gore.

Tony Baloney

Rye Lane on Disney+ was very good. Turned it on thinking it was a series but regardless it was a very pleasant surprise.

Another remake that wasn't needed.

Think writers or film producers are really struggling to find originality.. you generally back in the day had plenty decent films. Nowadays it's you'll get maybe one decent film a year

One that's completely flogged the dead horse but anyone seen new Fast X?

Haven't been to cinema in ages, usually only go for something worthwhile. I know what to expect with F&F films just though the whole special effects and sounds might make it more bearable on the big screen

I honestly haven't seen much hype in the media about it which I thought was strange as usually see plenty and as MR says big movies are thin on the ground these days. I see there is a new Transformer movie out too. I'd usually only have seen these types of movies when taking this children but they're too old to bother now. It's dire at the minute after Covid killed production for 2-3 years.

Yes, enjoyed this film too. Some scenes really hit hard.

Never saw the original, so reckon I'm safe enough here.
