Congrats to Edgeworthstown on their defeat of the Reich in the Senior Hurling final this evening.

We will be crossing our fingers for Killoe on Tuesday night.

Intermediate final worst game I've ever witnessed. To think that 1 of these will play senior this year ! Grattens looked a better team than either St Pat's or Carrickedmond , rumoured that Brian Kavanagh making a return to St Patrick's next year, standard with Kilmacud's 2nd or 3rd string bound to be higher than the tripe served up today

4-4 says everything that needs to be said.

Look at it this way; someone has to go down to Intermediate next year and rather either of them than youse or us.

Did Slashers send transfer forms around the Grattans dressing-room afterwards?

Any sign of a manager being appointed. I heard it would be announced before the co. final....... didn't think that meant in the park directly before it!!!!

Shamrock Shore

Lots of rumours:

Liam McHale
Pat Flanagan
Ciaran Fox
McEntee from Armagh
Wee Peter from Trone

Nothing solid tho

Minor final should be the better of both games on Sunday, despite the general feeling out there this will be close Northern Gaels slight favourites in my mind, but Killoe won corresponding fixture after replay at U-16 level 2 years ago but Northern Gaels have improved significantly since . If Conner Berry and Jason Matthews repeat their performances from last weekend's U-16 drawn final the Gaels will be hard stopped . Berry took the game to Slashers throughout although faded near the end he won the thrown in given for Slashers delaying a free in injury time and carried the ball from his own 20m line deep into the Slashers half  brushing off 4 or 5 attempts to stop him before laying it off for the equaliser

Great to see the half parish and the small parish land another underage crown to their belts. Tremendous work is being done for years now , those who started the club off must be very happy indeed.

Next years underage championship winners U-14 Killoe U-16 Killoe Minor (If they can get anyone to play in it , no club wants to be in league with them) Northern Gaels

I heard enough whingeing in the stand last Sunday; apparently Northern Gaels is a combination of three parishes rather than two. I held my tongue.

(Enrolment in Killoe National School: 274; Combined enrolment of Abbeylara, Aughnagarron and Mullinalaghta National Schools: 175.)

The stats never lie. Wonderful.
Not a word was said when Granard win 6 in 8 years with 2 clubs and 5 schools to pick from.

See jack sheedy is the man. Don't know much about his past experience.  Frank mcnamee helping out as well. Is he still based in Dublin!? Any word on other selectors? See new s&c as well. What does that mean for dave hare and his gymn?

The Insider

Not Dave Hare's gym . Longford GAA have leased premises from Gem  for a minimum of 3 years or  until a center of excellence is completed and own most of the equipment that's there. Hours will now be allocated to the various Longford squads and outside of these hours after discussions Dave will probably be able to continue to run a business there . Peter Foy also worked there so I can't see anything being done that will conflict with a county players job status . Frank still based in Dublin but has become heavily involved with the U-14 development squad this year and will continue with these particular players next year .
