two league wins in a row, including an away win
things are slowly improving

few new signings still to come into the team

Bernard and Richarlson looking good.

Need the defensive side improved, so hopefully Mina can do that.

gylfi starting to look more comfortable in an everton shirt and digne also looks a quality signing. its more the centre forward position i would be concerned with, DCL isnt good enough and the jury is still out on tosun.

Impressed with Evertons effort today... pressing high and well up for the game, one mistake will win this game

They could be left to rue those many missed chances in the first half.

should be used to it in the derbies at this stage but that is an absolute sickener. To lose like that after playing so well makes it even worse.

Former Liverpool player and manager Graeme Souness said on Sky Sports that Everton deserved a point out of that game. He couldn't understand how Pickford didn't deal with a bit of bread and butter goalkeeping.

Gary Mac, Mane and now Derek Origi. Three absolute classic, harrowing derby day hole-sickenings for Everton. When will their torment end?

"There are all sorts of ways when viewing Everton's record at this ground. Their last victory had been in 1999 or 7,007 days ago. During that period, more than 200 players have represented them in derbies and none of them have scored a winning goal. And yet, to reduce Liverpool's dominance over Everton to a 19-year period overlooked a historical pattern in existence since 1962, the year Liverpool became a First Division club again under Bill Shankly. In 56 seasons, Everton had won on this ground just seven times and three of them were in the 1980s, the club's most recent era of success."

Everton were unbeaten in nine derbies over a five year period between March 1994 and April 1999 when they were a dreadful team.
