Have to say jim galvin allowing phil McMahon to bomb forward was a smart move. AOS can't travel on that scale and mayo were exposed.

The quality of ball in to AOS was atrocious and easily read.

Another thing is that Keith Higgins is too pure a footballer for corner back.

Dublin will win final by their sheet athleticism.

Mayo have their sob story over the red card being rescinded. As soon as they had that excuse to lose they were finished.

You, sir, are a w**ker and a coward .

Who would want to be a ref?  Correct decisions undermined by lawyers and appeals commitees. The rulebook needs a rewrite before the GAA becomes even more of a laughing stock

To be fair the DRA won't say the ref was wrong .  Their beef is how would the case stand up if juxtaposed to a legal scenario.

I am really trying hard to see how Galway can win this and am at a loss.

They were great in the semi but Tipp midfield and half forward line could not win enough dirty ball.

Kk will not lack in this Department .  They have enough firepower .

That same Tipp midfield and half forward line were the winning and winning well of their run in Munster. They just run into a better set up that day against Galway who had the winning of each individual battle that end of the field barring Callanan.
If that same Tipp team were lining out this Sunday, everyone would be saying they'd have a great chance and possibly favourites, so why wouldn't Galway who've improved game after game also not really be seen as a serious proposition to Kilkenny?

I think if Galway can expose the Kilkenny fullback line enough they'll do it!!

JC

Tipp won the worst Munster championship in years and were not really tested by a team who really went for it.  There is always the feeling that their half forward line does not win enough "dirty ball". Callinan kept them in a game where they were clearly in awful trouble at midfield and in both half lines.

The counties themselves need to take responsibility for this for appealing these clearcut decisions in the first place.
Mayo and dublin this year and Tyrone, kerry and others inches past.
No one seems to be able to say,  fair cop and and take a justified suspension.

No they don't the GAA needs to take responsibility for never rewriting the Disciplinary Rulebook despite promising to do so on several occasions.
The buck stops with them
So you think Dublin were right to appeal this?
And mayo right to appeal keanes?

They are right to appeal if you apply the twisted logic of a lance Armstrong, i.e every inch taken , my rival is at it etc...... There are no saints here.  The GAA is a big money matter now and every advantage is sought.

For the first time in my life I care very little for inter county GAA.  I frankly care little who wins all Ireland .

A bad year for the GAA made worse.

I doubt anyone is surprised by that decision. The GAA is just a mirror of Irish society, how often do we see the courts come down in favour of the big boys. We are all equal but some are more equal than others.
Agree but it is everyone who tries to bend rules and "pull a stroke".

As I said the economic crash reflected this and Dr Merkel can not be blamed for insisting we pony up every last cent.

The GAA is now in crisis .  The Connolly appeal saga epitomises all that is wrong.  I hope Dublin go on and win the All Ireland as they will be appropriate winners ( I won't say champions) of what is turning in to a vile code.

Mayo can't take any moral high ground either. Kerry have form in this area too.

Really don't care at this stage and may not watch today.

Good if you've a big panel but so good if you're struggling to field as is

Kilmacud crokes , for example, rarely play current county minors . Smaller senior clubs generally do .

No he didn't  !! He said it !!!

Most overdone phrase by the pundits who don't fully appreciate its meaning.

Need a drinking game.

Sober paddys slomo is fairly definitive, Connolly was wronged here. Both teams were a disgrace to their counties and the gaa last Sunday, lets hope they make up for it this week with a good sporting game of football.

Both sides were a disgrace .  The carry on looking for "justice" is a disgrace.

We are now at a stage where nearly every sending off is appealed in the GAA.

Thought dublin looked very flat the last day.  MDMA looks to have lost that kick of pace.

Paul Flynn and Connolly look tired .  The next day may tell if this was a one off or something more permanent.

Them lads have an awful lot of work done since 2010.
