Quote from: AustinPowers on July 10, 2025, 04:49:00 PMI don't  get  the  public outpouring of grief when  the likes of a royal dies. Thousands of bouquets of flowers. Why?

Why don't they encourage people, instead of buying flowers  that  will just sit there and rot , to donate money to  a charity? Or in the case  of a tragedy, donate  to a fund  that will help the families affected.

Institutionalised, or in other words, shit for brains

Captain Sir Tom Moore's family sure put it to good use the cvnts

Fair to say McGeeney is the Armagh equivalent to Jim McGuinness, loads of counties are crying out for this messiah type figure, when they come along and are clearly bursting their ass to pull a team forward then the smart CB leaves them to it, I'd suggest few in Armagh were anyway interested in the job going back 5-10 years ago, Geezer has earned the right to fail quite hard having eventually over-delivered

Talk of a settled squad and finding 1 or 2 to add a year as if its revolutionary, kinda turned it into a Club Armagh, you need time to achieve this, great to see the centre of excellence well on its way too, Armagh gaels have had their ups and downs, their efforts deserve a place at the top table

What Cork, Antrim, Derry and others wouldn't do for a McGeeney/McGuinness type from within their ranks

Apparently people never walk alone, unless you're called Trent apparently

Yep anyone is pole-axeable, I'm sure there'll be a few dunts on Kerry lads too - personally I'd hold McElholm in reserve but he needs a good 20mins to go at it, on a separate point I'd worry that Meyler hasn't the zip of old and expecting a similar impact so soon into his return could be costly

McKernan is a huge loss but as you say it presents an opportunity for others

I fully believe McCurry and Canavan will turn it on

Tyrone are going in as underdogs and would expect the mentality to be something in the order of an ambush, I don't think they need everything to go their way on the day but hanging in there might be needed at times, similar to 2021 I expect

Quote from: DaleCooper on July 08, 2025, 11:30:01 PMBig miss considering his excellent form but oportunity for others to step up on big stage.

Interesting to see what will Tyrone do with McElholm. Id start him, has bags of energy and Kerry will likely setup expecting impact sub.

Tyrone have it all to do and MOR is going to have to gamble to some degree.

Agree fully, they're going to have to fight fire with fire at some point, and starting McElholm would be a way of doing that - tricky decision because his impact late on could be huge too

Quote from: clarshack on July 06, 2025, 05:30:20 PM3 of those Fintona players stood out today. Along with the U20 lad Donnelly they might make a stab at Intermediate in a couple of years time.

Well seen. Fintona with good numbers on Omagh CBS teams the last 2-3 years, definitely a coming team, deserve all they get for a big investment in youth

Interesting to see if Donnelly can punch into Tyrone seniors the next few years, all 3 half backs got on U20 team of the year, also the last 3 U20 poty been Tyrone

The transition to senior is a big jump, how's Potter from Killyclogher going at the minute, looked like a prospect to me, and Owens from Beragh has a bit about him

True, a surprise tactical move can often pay dividends, I feel with Tyrone lack of depth and a number of potential limitations that big Kennedy should be let play his specialist position without roving to an ad hoc FF role that will render him out of the game when they inevitably don't kick to him

Are you implying that would that make Arsenal more forgiving of such behaviour
Is there a common link between Jeffrey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein, Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, Alan Dershowitz, Al Franken, Brett Ratner by the way?

Nothing implied
And f**k knows

Quote from: tyrone08 on July 04, 2025, 07:02:23 PMThoughts on moving mattie closer to goal and starting sparky. Mattie has the physical presence missing in forward line and sparky has the speed and movement.

Would allow us to end with our strongest team on the pitch.

Also option of rotating kennedy or conn into forwards for a few long balls throughout the match.

Can't see it, Matty at 11 seems the order of the day with Dazzler and Darragh inside, they definitely start with that

Interesting one for me is whether Petey Harte starts or held in reserve, I'd be inclined to start him

Was well known, there has been ample opportunity to do the right thing, for some reason charge has been delayed, Arsenal and other relevant authorities should expect a huge backlash on this one

If he was available for the first leg against PSG Arsenal would have won the CL, that and the league was prioritised the last couple of years, disgraceful really

That despite training him well they're sorry he got caught else he'd been part of the golden moments promo

According to the research, pride in the county jersey remains a powerful force.

The act of putting on county colours on match day ranked highly, with over 3 in 10 (32%) citing it as a key ritual.

Quote from: seafoid on July 04, 2025, 10:47:49 AMIt's hard to make the change from elite county player to real life. Carey is an extreme example but there are plenty of gambling addicts, drug addicts and alcoholic.

The GPA couldn't have said it better themselves, a wonder they're so quiet on it, him being one of their own and all that
