Still going well here lads and lassies.

I'd say I'm back to about 90% normal...just the occasional excessive bathroom trips over a few hours...down to about one a month now.

Will have full-body CT scan in July...fully 4 years from my surgery now, so another colonoscopy in July of 2025 with no findings will see me discharged as a cancer patient and go back into the "general population" of regular screening.

Haven't resumed any alcohol yet, and I'm thinking I won't bother...no inclination at all to have a pint.

Enjoying life is my top priority now...no need for alcohol or engaging in foolish discussions in person or on any social media.  Hoping to make a few trips later this year and early next year to scope out some semi-retirement locations (work online) for at least part of the year. Portugal looking good so far...

But TSG said  this  was the first ever Munster football final to be  played in Ennis?

Is that true ?

Yes. Anytime Clare played Kerry or Cork in Munster final usually played in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.

Incorrect...this was the third time Ennis hosted a Munster Football Final.  Mind you, the previous 2 were in 1912 and 1919.  Somebody needs to tell these people that Wiki is your friend when you are about to spout stats and so on.

Only the minor football left to be decided in Munster...Kerry/Tipp and Cork/Clare in semi-finals this week and the final next week.

Will headquarters fix quarter-finals outside of Croke Park, with Belfast and Cork getting one each every year?

If Dublin get on a bit of a run by beating Kerry this weekend, we could see the Div 2 final last year having the same teams as the Div 1 final this year.

And the same two in the 2024 All-Ireland Final isn't out of the question either.

General discussion / Re: King Charles III

Wouldn't be a royalist either, but I hope cancer patients everywhere can summon the strength to fight this disease that has no limit in its reach.

Odd that it might get the family talking again, but it's strange how things happen.

There have been huge strides in recent years/decades with regard to various treatments and early detection, but plenty more to do.

I wish him and all cancer sufferers (including family members) all the best for the future.

Four and a half years almost since my diagnosis and I'm not quite back to normal yet.  Another 18 months of tests/scans and colonoscopy before I'm discharged as a cancer patient and return to "regular" screening.

Time for anyone overdue a check-up to start making that appointment...it can strike anyone.
