Just saw this on the BBC sport website. John Gregory, eh?

Antonio Conte is only the second manager in Premier League history to win 13 of his opening 16 games in the competition [after John Gregory at Aston Villa in 1998].

Villa 'won' 1998, as in the calendar year. Gregory took over in February 1998 when they were fighting relegtion, and they went on that run to qualify for UEFA Cup. They were top of the table in Jan 1st 1999, but fell away badly for the reminder of that season.

Chelsea were 20/1 outsiders to win the league at one stage this season and Conte was the favourite to get sacked with some bookies, Peps City were one of the best teams the league has ever seen. Things can change very quickly in sport.

They can indeed AM.  So talk of a 2 horse race in December when one has never even seen a PL title  is sheer fcukwittery.  To suggest Liverpool are the only team that can challenge Chelsea is typical of 25 years of continued Scouse delusion.
