Quote from: Jim Bob on August 13, 2024, 01:36:26 PMAny of you who post here have an Arsenal membership bership and have tried to get tickets under this new ballot system. I'm a silver and there's no doubt that silver membership is being slowly eroded.

I'm a red memeber - applied for 10 games last year didn't get a ticket for one of them. Ticket system was a lot better before this balot came in

ONeill

I applied 5 times last year and got tickets for three of them. Think I was fairly lucky. Ended up reselling one of them as couldn't go.

Did you apply for a single ticket each time or with another silver for 2 tickets ?

ONeill

First 2 times, it was a single ticket for Silver, as the lad is Red. We were fortunate getting another ticket on the exchange. Once, it was sitting in the airport the morning of the flight.

Then they changed the rules because many complained that Silvers couldn't apply for 2 if the other was a Red. So now Silvers can apply for 2 in the Red Ballot. Lo and behold it worked and I got 2.

But again, I think I was very lucky last year.

This year, why not let us know on here if there's a match anyone wants to go to - we can all apply and if anyone is successful, just give them your log-in details. I've no issue doing that.

Away to Spurs, away to Atalanta, away to City.

One down, 2 to go. Not sure what shape they'll be in by the time of the City game.

Rice will be fresh but will have to make changes for Atlanta. Impressed with Nwaneri cameo. Sterling, Jesus maybe to come in. Saka needs a rest.

Has needed a rest for 8-12 months, has been criminally overused by Arsenal and England, running him into the ground

Disappointing to concede the late goal but at the same time don't think they deserved to win either. For a side supposedly challenging for the title, and I know they'd only 10 men, but that second half was like a division 3 side all out defending against a Premier League side. Just booting the ball into touch if they ever managed to get near it.

Trossard stupid. Of all sides to do that. No lesson learned.

I thought after Rice was sent off on the second booking it wouldn't occur for the rest of the PL season but we managed to repeat the trick.
Equaliser was a dower but it is a point gained rather than anything lost. Just need to make sure that we keep up the start with wins in the next two league games, lack of creativity with injuries and spark up front is concerning for a long season ahead.

Agree wholeheartedly, Dropping the line and inviting City in to have a crack every two minutes wasnt the play. When Rodri left the field of play they were a different team and didnt deserve as much respect as Arsenal had shown them.

Still a point away from Home given the schedule Arsenal have had is to be respected.

ONeill

Yeah, looking on it slightly differently now.

On one hand, Arsenal are light years behind City when it comes to head-to-head in footballing terms.
On the other hand, Arteta has them in a place that compensates for that and that's admirable.

Totally, play to your strengths.

If Arteta had the Saudi backing and FFP rules City play by it may be a different story, thankfully its a nice problem not to have as it would ruin the club.

ONeill

It's interesting to watch if White gets his place back now.

Think he starts over Calafiori, not sure if he starts over Timber
