I'd planned on both. Getting the flu one at work this week. So the other depends on when I bother my lazy arse to get it done. Did both at the same time last year for convenience.

Does recent reports  of vaccine damage and the ultimate safety of the vaccines  ( which lets face it , we don't  really know yet) , not make you worried    about getting another covid  jab?

We certainly do know a lot about the damage caused by Covid, and there is little evidence that damage of vaccines is in any way on a comparable scale. There have been billions of Covid vaccines, yet very few problems and the link between the vaccine and the people with problems is unclear in many cases.
This is a bit like the seat belt debate concentrating on the possible of the seat belt not opening or of having a sore shoulder if it prevents you flying through the windscreen.

I always got the flu jab up until 2 yrs ago, got so sick picking up covid, will all jabs i already had, I started to wonder on the benefit of them, and this is a man who always got his injections. So haven't got past 2yrs and likely  miss this year, and I be the high threshold category.

I'm really disappointed that that isn't a real link.

If you go looking there has been problems with the Covid vaccines. People have died after taking them. It's a risk you take. It all depends on how much you see the risk against the benefit. No one is forcing anyone to take the vaccine anymore.

I have a mate who had his head turned by antivaxxers in his extended circle once he had young kids back in the 00s (we're talking MMR etc). We actually had to stop discussing it because he got so upset when I pointed out the illogical nature of the information he was being filled with.

Whether it was significant or not, I've no idea, but a few years before our vaccine disagreement, he tried to argue to me that seatbelts were dangerous because someone had been badly injured by one in an accident. Of course I pointed out the risk-reward and odds issues, but no, he was having none of it.

Some people are just wired differently I guess.

It's the old story about the British banning metal helmets towards the end of the war because they noticed a huge spike in head injuries compared to cloth caps

I'm even more confused now how the temporality meets the gold standard Bradford Hill criteria for causation. Ive no idea why it's suddenly considered anymore relevant that the other criteria

Im asking why one of the nine criteria being met is now being considered the gold standard. A very specific question. My understanding of Bradford Hill criteria although it's been a long while since I looked at it was that each of the nine strands were intertwined with no one criteria independently more important than any other.

Look... Here's some more detail of what this surgeon was discussing at the conference in Belfast. I'm not capable of debating/answering your question. I'm sure this Dr would be though or else he'd suffer reputational damage.
But please ignore if you believe I've posted another vaccine conspiracy theory and continue to think these injections are both safe and effective
