Cheering on Hamas and Hezbollah (who killed Sean Rooney). Calling for MPs to be killed
That's really going to help.

Quote from: G@@ on April 23, 2025, 09:44:40 PMThe top three in Munster will be Clare and Limerick who will decide the Munster Final. Tipp will be in third place.
The top three in Leinster will be Kilkenny and Dublin who will decide the Leinster Final. Offaly will be in third place.
Kilkenny and Clare to win provincials. Tipp V Clare Semi. Kilkenny V Limerick other Semi. Tipp V KK Final. Tipp to win.

Clare won't make it out of Munster. The big 3 of Tipp, Cork and Limerick will.
It is more certain now that Clare won't even get out of Munster. The worst All Ireland winners since 2013.

Playacting in hurling is getting out of control. It destroyed what was potentially the game of the year in the first minute.

Are you talking about me???

Lowry is infamous/famous since his days as Tipp chairman and all his wheeling and dealings ever since which always seem to benefit him.

Did that Casino in Two Mile Borris ever get built?

Lowry was one of the finest GAA chairmen a county has ever had. In his era, Tipp came back from the doldrums to lord it in hurling.
He also fundraised for a massive re-development in Thurles when the country was broke. The Feile festivals he started were Ireland's Woodstock and a few lads who lost their virginity at those festivals owe it to Lowry!

Yeah yeah let's just forget about the esat digifone and tax avading scandal and imm sure Semple didn't receive any of his own personal wealth.  A Dodgy scoundrel and what happened yesterday was a disgrace to Irish democracy. Also I think I speak on behalf of the the nation when I say we don't need a crook from Tipp to get laid so away off ya.
Would you rather the phone licence went to a Norwegian company instead of an Irish one?

Shamrock Rovers and Chelsea fined by UEFA over chants during Conference League tie
Updated / Thursday, 23 Jan 2025 12:38

Shamrock Rovers and Chelsea have each been fined by UEFA over chants heard at their Conference League match last month.

The Hoops have been fined €10,000 for "transmitting a message that is not fit for a sports event" following chants about the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the match at Stamford Bridge on 19 December.

Chelsea fans responded with an anti-IRA chant. The London club have also been fined €10,000 by UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB).

Rovers lost 5-1 but still finished 10th in the League Phase of the competition to earn a place in the knockout play-off round, where they will face Norwegian side Molde over two legs next month.

The first leg in Norway will take place on 13 February, with the return at Tallaght Stadium a week later.

In between, on Sunday, 16 February, Stephen Bradley's side will kick off their SSE Airtricity Men's Premier Division campaign with a Dublin derby against Bohemians which will be held at the Aviva Stadium.

If the Irish jewish community don't like Michael D, that's their business.
They can join the queue on that one.

Sarsfield are the weakest team to come out of Munster in recent memory. They were too wasteful in the first half.
A great win for the boys from Glasnevin/Palmerston/South Liberties.

Quote from: Rossfan on January 19, 2025, 03:12:57 PMThat arrogant yoke of an ambassador from a genocidal Government trying to tell an Independent State who should or shouldn't speak at a memorial!!!

Would you have liked Priti Patel to speak at an Irish Famine memorial?

Two giant Dublin super clubs win the club All Irelands.
All that volunteering is paying off for them.

Quote from: dec on January 14, 2025, 11:00:37 PMLooks like they have finally sorted a government.

QuoteTwo Independent TDs will attend Cabinet meetings as super junior ministers under an agreement reached to pave the way for the formation of the next government.
The Regional Independent Group will have two ministers at the Cabinet table, but they will not hold senior ministries.
It is likely that these posts will go to Galway East TD Seán Canney and Galway West TD Noel Grealish.
Seven TDs from the Regional Independents are set to support the next government as part of an agreement with Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael.
Meanwhile, Independent TDs Michael and Danny Healy-Rae have also reached an agreement to support the incoming government.
Tonight they are only saying "job done" and will reveal more details of their agreement early tomorrow.
The Cabinet breakdown will see Fianna Fáil hold eight senior roles to Fine Gael's seven.
It is expected that Micheál Martin will hold the office of Taoiseach until some point in 2027 and possibly for a longer duration than the Fine Gael leader...

I am glad none of the left wing parties are involved, make FF/FG plus assorted Independents own it and hopefully present a left wing alternative at the next election (though I am not confident that that the various left wing parties can be that coordinated).

Fine Gael and Fianna Fail are as good as left wing these days.
In the last decade they have:
- Massively increased public spending, and welfare costs.
- Brought in abortion and gay marriage.
- Opted for open borders
- Were soft on crime.

And people still call them right wing!
