is there a reason they cant be played around 2 pm or 3pm saturdays that gives players time to do saturday night activitys   id say most  local soccer games are played around those time.

Conflicts then with soccer. Lot of guys like to play both.  Clonoe wouldn't have a team between 2.00-4.30pm on a Saturday.

Very disappointing end to the year yesterday. Not enough scoring forwards, no energy,  teague gamble backfired badly.  M o Neill should never get a number 11 jersey ahead of Darragh canavan again. No scoring threat at all in the half forward line. Hopefully the club season gets finished in good time this year and lads get a few months off. Don't forget the club season finished on 19th December last year which is a joke and it really showed this year. We will be a different animal next year.

You got your wish STG, grass isnt always greener, let this be a lesson.
grass was very green last year! Are you suggesting we shouldn't have got rid of Harte? Jesus wept.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Mickey still the greatest manager we ever had.  I felt we would have won the all Ireland last year with Mickey in charge, it was just a continuation of what he had done previous.  We really could have done with him yesterday imo.

I honestly can't see past Portglenone winning the championship this year.  They have all the tools at their disposal

Great to see Derry win. Thought it had more than a breakthrough whiff of Armagh in 1999. Probably one more star forward, a MFer (or middle 8 player) and a goalie short of being genuine AI contenders. I'm sure McFaul is regretting his decision atm.

The year's not over for Donegal but surely its the end of an era regardless, hard to see Bonner returning,  Donegal have always seemed a bit timid and one dimensional under his direction. Will Murphy go or maybe even become Manager or Player manager?

Murphy needs to go to 14 and play the ball into him and get Mc Brearty winning any breaks. Would keep 2 defenders occupied back in their also.

Exactly this.

Yeah,  agree,  just leave Murphy at 14, no point in asking him to be a box to box player anymore,  doesn't have the legs anymore but would still be a huge threat in the FF line

The Coalisland thirds project not exactly going well is it  :-X

In hindsight,  they would be better playing division 3 reserves.

Not sure if the senior clubs entering a thirds teams into the junior league / championship understand how competitive it is.  Division 3 in Tyrone isn't full of mugs, its a very high standard for the lowest division in comparison to other counties. It's not a pissing about session as Coalisland are finding out

I think we need Canavan closer to goals to offer more of a scoring threat, hes always too far out the field when he gets the ball to have an impact on the score board.

Also, he should be hitting frees.  Cathal McShane is not near a free taker, not at all.

Club football still is king for me.  Love the county games but it warms the heart when you see a senior Ulster final between a Fermanagh and a Down team.  At club level, its an even playing field, a club team from Fermanagh can be as good as a club team from Tyrone, Donegal, Kerry or wherever.

Poor reflection on our club game when we lose out to Fermanagh champions. Dromore will enjoy themselves and reflect on a good year but itís failure for Tyrone once again in the Ulster Club.
No doubt about it that you know very little about Derrygonnelly. Should have been in the final a few years ago and have about 8 players that have played for fermanagh thas last few years. Game coukd have went either way and plenty of people had it 50/50 before it started. It's winter football now and that suits them

Tyrone champions should be beating Fermanagh champions. No excuses.

That should get a few bites lol

An Antrim senior team falls again at the first hurdle in Ulster.  When was the last time an Antrim senior team won a game in the Ulster club?

Cannot see a senior championship title going to a Belfast side for a long time yet.  Miles off the country guys at the moment.  Not a city side even contested a senior, intermediate or junior championship final this year.  Lot of work to be done, be lucky to see a championship in the city within the next 10 years.

Have Edendork pulled the pin?  If so, unbelievable that with 3 county starters on their team.  Bad form.  Do they be fined or anything for failing to field? There is still 4 league games left like.

I see Enniskillen Gaels back in a county senior championship final.  They used to dominate Fermanagh football for a period but went completely downhill for a long time.

They must be on the rise again?  Didnt they have a really good minor team a couple of years ago that maybe got to an Ulster final?
