Brooks showing who the boss is
McIlroy is the best player when he's ripping it up, but going low on Saturday and folding like a deckchair on Sunday, isn't ideal when playing the likes of Koepka. It is a pattern for which McIlroy should be getting professional help.

One over par for final day and tied for 4th against the best player in the world currently, is not folding like a deck chair. He'd an amazing Saturday to get to be one shot in front.

Against some of these players you need four good days, not one cracking day. What's this bottlers ranking at the minute?

Take the blinkers off, he can play freely when miles clear or completely out of it, there was no pressure on saturday as he was 5 behind, playing 8 groups behind the leader.

If it is tight he does not win, was the only player in the top 18 today over par, this suggests the pressure got to him, again.

See you next sunday  ;)

How many shots did he win the players championship by?

Some performance from Rory. After the disappointment of Portrush to put together a tournament like that showed real courage. Koepka is the form golfer and showed that again. A brilliant player.

If you can't see the greatness in what he did then you don't understand golf. You cannot be helped.

Working of your logic, do you then think Jack Nicklaus was the biggest choker ever?

Just cause you never replied to my post earlier, your point on not finishing out when it gets close. The Players Championship, the biggest tournament outside of the Majors, 2.5 million for the winner. that was this year.

Rory McIlroy  -5 -7 -2 -2 finished -16

Jim Furyk -1 -8 -1 -5      finished -15

Jhonattan Vegas 0 -3 -5 -6 finished -14

Eddie Pepperell 0 -4 -4 -6 finished on -14

Rose, Fleetwood, Johnston, Day all finished very close also, but hey he's a bottler

I try to be a logical sort of fella Orior. But shitting on a top links-based European event is short term greed over long term thinking.

The thought of  Koepka monotonously driving the the ball 350 yards, taking a wedge, then between 1 and 2 putts, on yet another identikit PGA layout with the same green speeds, no fairway undulations, token doglegs, and pretend hazards , is only a short time away from pushing spectators and viewers away in their droves. That's when being a WgC event won't matter a f**king damn.

It's time for a World Tour with around 100 - 120 players then the European tour becoming a sort of feeder tour.
Everyone has worked hard to get the Irish Open back to were it is now (including Rory McIlroy) so it's very disappointing news. Was reading on twitter that a Sept date is being talked about.

Crazy. May this be why they have held of on any announcements on the Irish Open yet. I've heard it is between The Island and County Sligo.

And on another note JP McManus won't be best pleased either!
