BREAKING: New men's World Cup will start in 3 years, FIFA announces!

Gianni Infantino: "The new men's Club World Cup will take place in 2025 and will feature 32 teams". 🚨🏆

"32-team tournament will go ahead, making it like a World Cup", Infantino added.

Any idea why it's in 2025? I thought Canada, USA and Mexico were confirmed for 2026?

Not as clever but Morocco one yields a goal too!

Both the also ran teams using their heads.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

2nd and two 3rd place finishes in the World Cup is good going by Croatia in fairness to them.

And 3rd in 1998 also. They have pedigree now. They had a once in a generation in Modric. Mad to think Modric was 27 when Spurs sold him and how much he has done since.

they took over the mantle of Yugoslavia and the Red Star Belgrade team of 91. Serbia didn't.

What does this actually mean?

In what way did Croatia "take over the mantle" of Yugoslavia or even more so RSB?

Yugoslavia was a mix of Croatian and Serb players. So was RSB. Croatia kicked on. Serbia did not, for whatever reason.

Yugoslavia was made up of more than just Croat and Serb players

They were a fancy for the 92 Euros as they had won the Youth World Cup in 87 and Red Star Belgrade had won the European Cup in 1991.

They would have been at their peak in 1994,they would have  some team

Zvonimir Boban, Davor Šuker, Robert Jarni, Predrag Mijatovic, Dragan Stojković, Dejan Savićević, Darko Pančev, Robert Prosinečki, Refik Šabanadžović, Alen Bokšić, Siniša Mihajlović and Vladimir Jugović.

Since their suspension was lifted the Serbs have been at 5 of the past 7 world cups

Not bad for a country of 6.8m that hasn't kicked on
