If a player signs up to make himself available to play county, he is in principle saying that he will see very little club football if any at all, until the county season is over.

And that's the way it is in practically every county.

The grey area is where players are caught in the middle (numbers 20 to 28 on the county squad) who are caught in no man's land...and end up playing for neither! They can only hope the manager uses a bit of discretion  here or there...

Players will return to clubs for second half of the league and obviously championship.

That's the arrangement and everyone knows the deal.

I would say 20 to 28 causes a lot of dropouts in any county. I am surprised we have had more. It is tough for those ones getting no game time but mcentee is really just running things the way any other county does.

You do sometimes wonder could some kind of arrangement not be made though.

I've seen plenty of 'county' players playing league games this year that wouldn't be starters or in the mix to start, think if they only played 15 minutes or so they could play?

Hannahstown is a real fortress. Beat by Ballymena and Glenravel and draws with both Aldergrove and Ahoghill

Dual clubs having their County Hurlers back will make a big difference.

Seen from a few photos that some played last night for their clubs, great to see.

After last week's string show away from home, Antrim could do a real job on London and win comfortably.

But I suppose we have all been around too long to expect that to really happen!

BrendanAntrim

👀 got the job done anyway

A win is a win... when is the draw?

London showed up and Antrim were flat enough for large parts but they are still beating teams who they should be.

Best draw?

And so it is a trip to Fermanagh

Excellent - it's the game we have the best chance in. That's not to say we'll win it but I think we're in with a good shout.
