Indeed, city are a shadow of their former selves and Bournemouth could do a job on them let alone some of the other clubs still in the draw.

Will city go all out for it now that everything else is slipping away, or would recent success have made them indifferent to it? Would it be enough to raise the blood pressure of a fan base that has known such recent good times? I can't see it exciting that many of them even as a consolation prize.

Crystal Palace  (never won it, final appearances in 1990,2016)

Preston North End  ( won it twice and last won in 1938, last final 1964)

Aston Villa  ( won it 7 times and last win 1957 and last final 2015)

Bournemouth  (Quarter final is the furthest they have got)

Manchester City  (won it 2023 and finalists 2024)

Brighton & Hove Albion  (never won it and one final appearance in 1983)

Nottingham Forest (won it twice with last win in 1959 and last final in 1991)

Ipswich Town  (one final and won it in 1978)

I actually wanted to avoid Palace as they have done Villa a couple of times this year already.  That's a 50/50 game in my opinion.
