Quote from: Mikhailov on Today at 08:20:23 AMCrazy decision by the ccc last night to delay the leagues. The poor club player is getting shafted all the time
Only division 1 or division 2 also?

Quote from: GaaGPT on April 22, 2024, 10:04:15 AMWould you make any changes to the team for Donegal? Expect Conn to come into the middle for Donaghey. And possibly mcShane for Ruari. Not sure on the latest on harte. If he is fit i would like to see him come in for mcGeary
What evidence are you basing off that McShane should start? He hasn't played a good game of football for the county since 2019.
Agree he is far from his best. But think a bit more presence in there might help instead of having Kennedy and Conn drifting in.

Quote from: HokeyPokey on April 18, 2024, 11:11:48 PMIt will be interesting to see if Mattie does play at 6. He could add real solidity there potentially if he is back to himself.

Really don't see how Matty starts at 6 unless as a sweeper and someone else picks up the marking job on a Cavan forward
I struggle to see how Matty starts at all to be honest having missed so much of the league

McKiernan has nailed 6 and will surely start there, its a dummy team, expect Aidan Clarke to start corner back

My prediction is Matty doesn't start and comes in off the bench for the second half or last 20mins depending on how its going, deployment also as required, could be middle third could be FF

I wish they would bring in a rule to stop teams announcing dummy teams. Should be a rule to only allow minimum changes. e.g. 2

Quote from: Goals_Will_Come on February 01, 2024, 09:17:42 AMOr the reserve proposal could end up being a brilliant idea. Games every other week, I assume alternating with Minors, give reserves a steady supply of football March through to July/August. Could be a lifeline for reserve football in Intermediate and Junior. Senior potentially may be an issue regarding Seniors taking reserve places.

What about the smaller clubs? Once reserves are finished they then don't train which will bring training numbers down

Division 3 commencing May 5th (Sunday), all Fridays after this. Reserve league commencing Sunday March 10th.
Would the sides in 1&2 be training now?Awful long time to train before playing any meaningful game.

I would be surprised if they are not. If not pitch sessions they would definitely be doing gym sessions

Surely the reserve start will be reconsidered. Clubs will be playing a lot of seniors throughout there reserve teams

Going by league tables it looks like Owen Roes are the only team making a good account of themselves. Always in around playoffs in D2. Clann na gael and Urney look to be in bother.
