Whats wrong with the uncovered stand lads? Never been to the ground.

Would Limerick have one of the biggest supports in the country?

It used to be concrete seats and they retro-fitted plastic seats into it - not a great idea for anyone over about 5' 7" as your knees will dig into the seat / back of the person in front of you!!

Both Limerick & Cork hurlers will have a massive support, hope Limerick win it

Correct, both counties carry huge amount of support for their hurling teams.

I could never quite understand why a reasonably successful bunch of Cork footballers could never really draw the support their hurlers do!

The hurling support is much bigger than that for the football because hurling is the city game. West Cork is the football stronghold. Many city and East Corkies are hurling boors, boasting  about how they hate football.

Shamrock Shore

I remember going to Parki Keeve in 1976, not long after it was opened. I recall thinking it was space age.

I was easily impressed as a gossun  :-[

If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

I would much prefer Thurles or Limerick in Munster.

twohands!!!

From what I've seen of the plans and the proposed cost, it really looks like someone will be making a pretty penny for this.

I know stadiums are expensive yokes but this just seems mad stuff altogether.

manfromdelmonte

why can't I be that contractor

Galway are still paying for the money Connolly and co made out of Salthill
