Social justice for residents because they're doing up an existing stadium they're living by?

What brand of scutter is that?

The GAA better not kowtow to shite like that if they want to get anything done in the future.

Ros 1-06 Cavan 0-07 FT. Murtagh goal sealed it. The lad is special.

Deadly stuff lads, most meaningful Hastings win for us by a mile.

Nobody knows where the ship is.
Nobody knows where the ship is heading.
Nobody knows if its afloat or not.
From this information the Irish Times produce a headline saying that the ship is "heading our way"

You won't be so cheeky when the cannibal rats take over the country.

QuoteA ghost ship full of cannibalistic rats may be headed towards Irish shorelines. The unmanned 1,600-tonne MV Lyubov Orlova has been drifting in the Atlantic with no crew or tracking beacon for nearly a year.

Originally a cruise-liner designed to take holidaymakers on tours around the Arctic, the Russian-registered cruise ship was cut adrift while being towed from Canada in February 2013.

The 40-year-old cruise liner, which was built in the former Yugoslavia and named after a 1930s Russian actress, was accidentally lost en route to the Dominican Republic after the tow line between the ship and an American-owned tug broke. According to reports, 50km/h winds prevented the crew from reconnecting the ships, and the Orlova was left to drift out into the ocean.

The Irish Coast Guard claims Minister for Transport Leo Varadkar has "not been sufficiently advised" of the full consequences of reorganisation proposals.

Coastguards, satellite providers and a team of Dutch salvage hunters have spent the last 12 months trying to track down the ship. Maritime law dictates that if you discover a derelict vessel, you are entitled to claim ownership and the owner must pay a release fee. However, despite their best efforts, neither satellite technology nor scuba-diving adventurers have been able to track down the 100-metre long cruise liner, which boasts a restaurant and a gym.

The Irish Coast Guard has been leading the search for the Orlova since it went adrift last year. "We haven't seen it," said Chris Reynolds, Director of the Irish Coast Guard. "We spent a couple of months using satellite radar technology to look at the areas it might be but we couldn't find the Orlova."

However, recent winter storms may have driven the ship towards Irish and UK shores. Some reports suggest the rats may be left with nothing to eat but each other.

However, Mr Reynolds has said large numbers of rats on a derelict ship is quite normal. "It was empty for a year in Newfoundland, so it wouldn't be at all unusual for there to be lots of rats," he said. "You get rats in all vessels and there's ways of dealing with them."

Mr Reynolds believes that strong hurricane-force weather may have actually sunk the ship. "Our model says that if it is still there it will turn up somewhere around Achill Island," said Mr Reynolds, "but really it could turn up anywhere between Iceland and Portugal. "

"The biggest risk is something hitting it at speed in the dark," he added. The Irish Coast Guard has called off the search but says it will remain "vigilant".

The missing sea liner has developed quite a following over the last year with a blog and Twitter account dedicated to the search for the Orlova. @LyubovOrlovaNL tweeted on Thursday night: "Is okay now, rats have found lettuce to eat. But having rats that live for full year in empty boat without freezing still leetle problem."

Oh Syferus , thirteen years of heartache is really starting to take its toll.

Jaysus Larryin, it was only an FBD League defeat, no need to take it so personally!
Looks like our little winín last Sunday has them spooked ;D
Anyway let's hope Carrick isn't too boggy on Sunday for the game of the year so far.
Make sure we all get there early as the traffic from the Ros side into Carrick on Sundays is always awful and no point having to walk from Croghan or Cootehall.

Back in July Donegal lads (and the two Laois supporters that exist) were parking up before they even got to the industrial units outside Carrick, not knowing they were probably nearer Boyle than Pairc Sean. Motored on in past the Landmark. We just made it in time for the throw-in, thanks to two delays in the start time. Those poor Donegal lads were still streaming in 30 minutes into the game.

Cue 20% of the people turning up to the wrong venue.

Duffy's circus is in Carrick for the FBD final.

Guess the Bekan lads thought Leitrim and January weather weren't enough of a challenge for us.

Of course that's the way it is like. Have you heard yourself .

Well at least you'll have no excuse for the big un on the 8th of June , Hyde park alright for you, If I had my way I'd let ye choose the ref too just to shut your ilk the fook up.

Pick your footballer. They should have auctioned Johnny Doyle.

Sponsor your very own Kildare footballer

Think its between more then 3 teams, Longford have a very good record against Cavan both in Breffni and Pearse Park , and despite their poor showing last year in Division 2 I'm sure they will want to rectify that this year. Took a bad beating by Kildare in the O Byrne Cup but only had 2 regulars playing. Some good U21 forwards from this year/last year like Mark Hughes, Robbie Smith.

Limerick can be a match for any team and was surprising they remained in Division 4 as long as they did. Ian Ryan, Stephen Kelly, Johnny McCarthy , Ger Collins are all solid players.

Sligo were without David Kelly for the entire league and Championbship last year, as good as any forward in the Country on his day.

If Longford beat us they've every chance but a loss at home to start the league may meaning staying up is a more attainable goal than being promoted. Hard to know where Sligo land but with Pat Flanagan's late appointment it's though to see our neighbours being in the shake-up going into the final weekend.

Don't know what to make of Limerick. We delt with them down in the city last time we played them a few years ago and could be just as likely to get relegated as beat anyone of note.

Usual pattern of Division 3 is everyone scalping someone and the pre-season favourites looking in a little bother mid-league but recovering heading into the stretch. Hope that'd be enough for us to get promoted.

FBD final set for Carrick this Sunday 2pm, Donie Shine expected to return after his quad strain injury.

Does Donie really need to be risked? Evans did the same v. Mayo last year and look at the chain of reaction he set off. Get the bubble wrap and cotton wool out next week, we can brave the Lovelies without big Donie.

Why doesn't Even Regan play for the seniors? Couldn't be arsed poking around other threads to find out!

The answer is there.

Dropped off the panel in July last year for financial reasons after right months of training, concentrating on his studies and the Mayo U21s this year.

Enda Smith injured at the weekend. Played twice in two days.
And there was Moyna giving out a few weeks ago about over using players  >:(

Crazy by Evans, the make or break FBD. They should let U21s concentrate with that group.

Wasn't Evans. Played for the U21s on Saturday and DCU on Sunday.

Diarmuid Murtagh and Mark Nally appeared for both U21s and seniors at the weekend. Second half subs on Sunday.
