You see, this is why one shouldn't just rush to judgment.

The guy didn't actually fire a shot.

Good piece.
Well thought out and shows the columnists/pundits up for the non sensical shite they spout week after week.

85% of players should be good enough for anyone

Hardly an unbiased article was it, talk about confirmation bias, "leading advocate for split season calls it a resounding success".

I've said it before, for you in semi-rural areas, split season might be fantastic, in the major urban centre of the country, it just means gah is dead for 9/10 months of the year. There's minimal connection to club senior teams in Dublin clubs, that's easily evidenced by attendances at club championship games.

The other major issue with the split season is the condensed nature, meaning that gaelic sports are vying with each other for airtime and even worse, this year they had the euros and the Olympics, every year they have the culmination of the major soccer competitions, premier league, champions league etc.

But sure ignoring all these negatives, the lad who dreamt it up says it's fantastic, so that's that put to bed!

Who has been the biggest flop of the championship soo far? Has to be galbally, heard they flew Cormaic Donelly home to play against Loughmacrory and they didn't even start him. How much money does Brannigan have? I see they listed him as part of the managemen. Was that a gentlemans agreement they made in Tallys pub."you pay for mcgilly and the flights home and we will stick your name down as defensive coach". Galbally will struggle next year, heard it here first. Still have that balde corner back running about, he's bound to be near 40?

New to the page, predictions for this weekend.
Killyclogher vs Carrickmore will be close for large parts of the game but could see KC pulling away last 10.
Too many average joes on that carmen side that lack any real ball skills. Speaks volumes when Marty Penrose is still your get out of jail card... no offence to Martin but surely he's about 47 now. Tiernan McCanns teeth are looking whiter than ever and carmen wouldn't be exactly use to seeing such good looks.
Errigal could send out there reserves against clonoe and probably still give them a game. All seriousness though, I can't see Clonoe scoring more than 5 Points.
Trillick will bore Ardboe to death and eventually pull away by 3 or 4 I'd imagine then followed by about 3 or 4 melees between the players and coaches in Forbes that night.
Dungannon and Lough the game of the weekend. Two physical teams with plenty of scoring power. Although Pomeroys compulsory gale force wind will play a huge factor.
