Moortown were the better Minor Team on Friday past. Serious strong up the middle, Number 3 was Solid, Number 6 Was Strong, Number 8 Was Outstanding, for such a tall lad he could move very quickly across the ground, Number 11 Big and Mobil and Number 14 Smart and Man of the Match. When Moortown needed somebody to do something he was always an outlet. Have to also mention number 4. Ardboe played their number 15 sweeper and Moortown pushed up on him allowing Number 4 to be everywhere, tidy wee footballer. Any truth In rumours I heard at the ground that All bar number 11 are Under Age next year???

Paul Devlins managerial skills need a mention. Never heard him bark or shout at his players over the course of the game. Any time he opened his mouth it was constructive and smart and softly spoken, just what Under 18's need to hear not shouted at

What was so funny about that, we had a player sent of the year against Errigal and it was over turned as it was incorrect, another sent off for hitting a player back who struck him after the final whistle. We had another sent off two years ago in the final minute of injury time  in a replay, other than that I can't recall a player being sent off in sen championship football in 10 years. More than happy to be corrected
It's seems clonoes super discipline disappeared when things weren't going their way in the under 21s tonight. 2 red cards!!!

In fairness -KYMI did state Senior Championship, you are trying to tarnish a club about an U-21 game were a fair few of them lads would've been raw from Sunday evening

Probably because they'll not want teams who could meet other in the championship playing each other in the league beforehand. As an example Trillick and Greencastle could well meet in the intermediate championship final and they have yet to meet in the league.

On that game, it could well be a de facto league final, with Trillick gaining the top spot on head to head (though on the same number of points) if they win.  That assumes that they both wins whatever games they have between now and their league meeting.

Sure Omaghs due to face Dromore next Friday night 15th!!!!

Good to see Clonoe beat after their antics after they beat Errigal in the championship. Shower of muppets the lot of them.

What did they do??

Clonoe looked untouchable in the 1st 15 minutes, 8-1 up. Can't work out if they changed tactics to run the ball or weather credit has to go to Dromore. Dromore showed they aren't done yet (old gaurd still their best) dug really deep and kept plugging away. Don't think I've ever seen Clonoe getting turned over so many times in the tackle, again credit Dromore

Great match to watch, exciting stuff

Perhaps "Winghalfback" was correct, handful of Clonoe men looked unhappy and dis-interested!!!!!!!!

BMR - the boot incident was a disgrace

Mc Nabb Man Of The Match

Omaghs to win now

You are getting stuck into them Errigal cnuts Knocker yer.Disgrace they can't field a reserve team.
Didnt get to u21s last night, typical referees give us nothing. Do you think we will take the clean sweep this year again, som of the boys are saying that this year is a failure unless we take ulster.
They say that is what Cassidy is telling them all the time.

Ha, I don't think Cassidy is as Stupid to be telling his players that. That's how you build yourself up for a mighty fall and from what I've seen from him, he'd be too smart and too shrood for that. Would I suggest you've started the Mind Games????

At Omagh and Dunmoyle today. Carrickmore were so poor it was hard to believe. The scoreline could have been much worse for them. Omagh missed a number of very good goal chances and a penalty. Omagh were very impressive without ever having to exert themselves. Joe McMahon played very well but not 100% fit. Carrickmores 'senior' players were terrible shocked by how poor they were. They are lucky the draw gives them time to sort out whatever is wrong.
The Clonoe Errigal game was very entertaining both teams playing some good football in poor conditions. Clonoe have everything power pace and ball winning forwards who can finish. Errigal played well for 40 min but down a man the strength and power of clonoe wore them down. McDermotts sending off was harsh and helped turned the game. Having said that a number of players on both teams were very lucky to see out the hour colly Doris and davey Harte seemed to ship a lot of poor tackles. Young Patrick Dorris does Clonoe no favours acting the maggot. He will cost Clonoe dear in the years ahead as referees will have seen and heard enough from him. Am sure the clonoe posters will defend him saying Errigal singled him out but he wasn't on the pitch 10 seconds before he started the messing and brought all the unwanted attention on himself.

from what I seen Errigal 28 charged into patrick as soon as he came on patrick had no other choice to push him back 28 continued this too the end if he had of conected with patrick at the end he would have taken his head off.... right in front off the referee as well he done nothing about....
[/quote?

Sorry but as a neutral at the game Bigtogs is completely right in his assessment. We watched Patrick Doris expecting him to get singled out and he did. Number 28 shouldered him straight away and another couple of times before the Ref spoke to "both players". He also dodged a full swing at him and right at the end another swing. Granted he probably knew to expect it after what happened in the Championship game but Errigals concentration on him allowed Clonoe to creep back into the game. Daisy's sending off was harsh IMO

Was at the Errigal v Clonoe game. As stated above when the game was in the melting pot (15 minutes to go,  Errigal 4 up) Errigal seemed more interested in the man rather than playing ball. Granted they have nothing to play for but they had the game won until they reverted to these tactics. Patrick Doris came on with 10 ta go and was hit by at least 3 different Errigal men and laughed it off. Clonoe no angels either when things got heavy but they controlled their heads more

Anybody at the Omagh Slaughter of Carrickmore?? Reports??

What was wrong with the Sports Centre just outside Omagh on the Cookstown road?? Was used for years with no complaints (that I can remember or am aware)

Perhaps someone can fill me in

Tyrone need to become more aggressive and I don't think that is instilled on at least half the current panel. They need a bit of Clonoe DNA and I am not stirring the shit here. Damien Cassidy has done wonders for Clonoe whilst Tyrone are going backwards all the time  . Time for new faces on the hill at Ballygawley!

Cassidy wasn't great at inter county level with Derry. It's not as easy as it looks you know, Hugh.

BennyHarp - Cassidy took over from Clonoe in 2008 (they had just been promoted from 1B) so many wouldn't have called them "A good team"
2008 Won Championship
2009 Same players (Minus Cassidy) lost 1st round v Trillick
2010 Same players (Minus Cassidy) lost 1st round v Coalisland
2011 Returns, beat in Championship Final v Dromore
2012 Beat by Omagh but Wins 1st EVER league title with Clonoe
2013 Won Championship

Some would say that's not a bad return

Ciaran Mc Ginley!!!!!!!!! Don't make me laugh. Ask anybody from outside of Errigal "TOWIE" Ciaran and I would be confident of 95% people saying he's not good enough to even be in the squad never mind starting week in week out

Went to the Ardboe v Clonoe Reserve Final last nite. Ardboe played with 2 I repeat 2 sweepers in a county final. They had all bar 2 players in Clonoe's half. Donegal style but without the Murphy to kick the scores. 3-2 at HT sums it up. 2nd half it looked like Clonoe pushed up on the free men and the introduction of Ryan Rambo O'Neil with his pace cause Ardboe problems, think he hit 2 mighty scores. Clonoe also introduced Shane O'Hagan and with his direct running he won Clonoe the game. He handed off men left right and centre and Ardboe couldn't cope with his strength. Ardboe have to be disappointed but they went out very negative and Clonoe eventually ground them down. Agree that both teams would give the Intermediate Championship a good rattle

Great win for our thirds tonight who have now put Beragh and Fntona out of the Div3 Championship. At least we have something to cheer about.  ;D

I hear it was a "saft" penalty to help you's scrape through tonight
