Suggested Improvements to the board

Is there zero chance of the powers that be making a few improvements round here? The basic functionality is little more than adequate and I know a few people have been put off posting by technical aspects of this board

Some suggestions:

Make it more mobile friendly in terms of threads displaying properly on screen. That's a basic requirement.

An upvote/downvote system for posts, and the ability to view an individual's most upvoted/downvoted post.

The whole quote functionality isn't the best. Not sure how to improve it but I'm sure others have suggestions.

A better search function. Doesn't work great at the minute.

You're using this site for free. Extra functionality will cost. Can someone post the link where Stallion can make a donation?

There are a multitude of examples of message boards with vastly superior functionality which are free. To suggest users should pay for using this is absurd.

I paid something way back. A fiver I think.

So - a move to a new 'free' board would:

• Reset us all to zero (think of poor Ziggy)
• Be plagued with ads
• Have a new address
• Would mean some would have to re-ignore certain posters

Would never work.

If we all paid a €5/£5 we could get all the functionality you desire I am sure.

Mobile is fine, the quote function works well. Search never really had problem with that function... maybe Stallion should try another forum?

The quote function is poor. You can have a whole page taken up with unrelated quotes and makes me not bother reading the new post if there are 5 quotes with it.

It could be changed by only being able to quote post at a time.

The quote function is easy if you can be bothered and not f**k it up.

The search function is too smart for me

The main improvement I can see would be GAA every weekend of the year. September to January is very hard.

The Man Utd discussion could be sold to a university psychology faculty and the proceeds used to upgrade functionality.
