"Amateur" was a term I deliberately used, as BB says it is important to differentiate the two codes. Having said that you're right, arguably, I could've left it out.

Monaghan United have pulled out of League of Ireland.

No surprise as they had little support and where essentially a dublin team who played their home games in Monaghan. A shame for all involved who worked hard to keep it going for so long.

They going to keep going at a youth level it seems.
