just sort of dipped in and out of the sopranos, so just thought it was ok.loved the episode in the snow (?) rite nuf
the wire however is probably the best tv drama ever.
takes a wile to grab you, but by midway through the first series you will be hooked.
by far the best cop show i've seen, gritty and realistic but with a dark humour too, great stuff

Why was Errigal/Dromore a great game?
as a neutral thought it was a good game as well.more like a championship encounter than first league game.
hard hitting game with players on both sides walking a fine line at times.
county men stood out for both sides, harte & mcginley for errigal & mccarron, sean o'neill & mccullagh for dromore.
defenses pretty much on top, dromore missing mccusker with snowy not on form and errigal look short of a scoring forward.
both sides will be in the shake up at the end of the year but id say

lived in melbourne for a year, great city and plenty to do round and about.
try and get to an AFL game at the MCG or the telstra.
Philip island is worth a visit to see the penguins.
The great ocean road is a great road trip too.
try and get a surfing lesson at either of the above places
as mentioned, you could take a spin out to ramsey street, just to say you've been there, and some of the neighbours nights are good oul craic.
theres alot of other stuff but thats just what comes to mind.
PM me if you wanna know anything else

DUBSFORSAM, has it ever crossed your mind how Ciaran Whelan can punch a player full in the face, on camera in front of the referee and it never gets jumped all over in the press or receives a card or a retrospective ban?

I do not no any current player, Tyrone or otherwise who has meted out as many violent acts yet gets away scot-free on each occasion.   Tommy McGuigan's act, whilst also unacceptable, pales into insignificance by comparison to Whelans back-catalogue of thuggery.

That crap...Ciaran Whelan has got loads of grief in the papers etc....He got suspended after the brawl against Meath didn't he??? Did the Dublin fans/mgmt come out saying thats its a disgrace, that he shouldn't be suspended because other people get off?? No they accepted the suspension and left it there...

not to many actual suspensions but compared to the amount of incidents.
the one mentioned above where he decked yer man at the throw is the perfect example

If the authorities are going to use TV for what are essentially minor incidents then they need to be consistent. Can anyone explain why Rory Woods was not brought before the CCCC when it was clearly caught on TV him kicking a Kildare player lying on the ground? I agree that it was not a hard kick and more of a jab to get the player to get up again , but by definition it was kicking and technically deserved a ban. I don't think it did, but if the CCCC are going to review situations they need to apply it fairly accross all games/teams and not be selective in their punishment.

P.S. I have not condoned what McGuigan did and agree that if a ban is issued it is waranted, but i do feel that the incident was addressed by the referee at the time and that should be the end of the matter.

Completely agree.
lets either have  video evidence or dont.
you can't pick when you decide to use it and when not to.if we are going to go down that road then a citing commissioner needs to review video evidence of every single inter county game and treat them all the same, not just the incidents highlighted by a pundit on the box

Whats goin on with Gerrardo being played on the left for England, surely his club form suggests he should be playing behind the strikers?
exactly, its not as if england have 2 world class strikers that you can't leave out :-\

Manchester United may go retro with new kit
Manchester United players could be looking for summer transfers if these leaked photos of their 2009/10 prototype kits get the go-ahead.

New kit designs for Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea and Manchester United have been published on The Spoiler and early indications suggest it is United's players who could come off worst.

Designers of the white and red away shirts have used a lace-up collar to finish the neckline similar to that last seen on their green and yellow shirts in the mid-1990s . The second effort is kinder on the eye, with a '60s feel about it.
