€28k

I know of 2 clubs not too far from Laois looking to part fund one with help from their county board

Why would clubs and co. boards outside of Laois look to part fund our GDA's. Really don't get that one  !!!!

They aren't looking to fund a laois Gda,they are looking to fund their OWN one,the 2 clubs are going to fund a GDA to work exclusively within the 2 clubs, they are also looking to offer considerably above the €28k in order to find the right candidate.

Its a hell of a lot more then that for the more senior full time  GDAs that i do know. Thats not counting travel expenses either.

Was pure class. Blistering pace, power and balance. Could play any position on the pitch.

And the Lillies hate him. Gotta love Tom!!😁

Tony

Fair play to Tom - he loves the game and the game loves him. Class player to watch. Great news that he's back enjoying ball. Maybe we'll see him on the Laois panel for 2018, we could probably do with him  ;)

Now that's how you do it. If the players payed for the trip better again.

It's actually very good thinking if you think about it. Same weekend as the picnic. What would 2/3 days in Stradbally cost you? I'd imagine this didn't cost them anymore. There was never any danger of games clashing with it, considering the weekend that was in it. So flights etc could be booked well in advance.
Great organisation, innovation and dedication. Well done McNulty et al.

I'm all for training weekends but why the need to go foreign? Dublin never go abroad for their camps

Too many promotional jobs to be done by the county stars.

Anyhow they're happy to wait for their AI winning holiday.

Here's hoping he decides to come back to play for Laois next year too  ;D.

Young lad in his prime like that, 27, an absolute athlete and fantastic player - how we could do with him in his rightful home.
