He can't be that surprised

Source? And if that's the case, what about those who work for the BBC but would be pro Tory, the likes of Alan Sugar? And watching the footage of Fiona Bruce earlier in QT, what the actual fcuk? Beyond mad

Lineker is a free lancer so those rules don't apply
Did you even read my reply?
I wrote that the guidelines don't apply to Lineker.

However BBC rules in general do apply to freelancers.

'The extent to which a non-staff member, contributor or presenter is required to comply with the Editorial Guidelines will be set out in the BBC's contractual relationship with them'.

Andrew Neill espouses lots of right wing views on Twitter, highly critical of the Scottish Gov's policies on lots of things, heck he even wore a tie from the Adam Smith Institute, a very opaquely funded right wing "think tank" on a BBC show he was hosting and not a jot.

Lineker himself has actually sat in the chair on BBC sports programs and opened with very political monologues with no come back as his Tory masters were happy with the messaging then, but not now, strange that!

Do we need a new thread for when youve been cancelled then uncancelled? The integrity of the board rests on matters like this

I think we need a working group to decide and the moderators need to consider appointing an ethical advisor to be involved in the process.

Total victory for Lineker, even bringing it back to refugees in his tweets acknowledging the resolution.

An absolute humiliation for the BBC and its management. Davie and Sharp should be gone for the incompetence around this fiasco alone, never mind the rank hypocrisy and corruption.

The refugees in the tweet was a classic. The English rugby team can at least relax that they are not the biggest losers this weekend, the BBC wins hands down.
If at first you don't succeed, then goto Plan B

You have to put the DUP and wee Jamie in there in the losers chart on this one as well.

Couldnt back a winner in a one horse race   ;D

Now God  sorry, David Attenborough has been cancelled by the BBC.

The Guardian https://tinyurl.com/2p93e3zj
The BBC has decided not to broadcast an episode of Sir David Attenborough's flagship new series on British wildlife because of fears its themes of the destruction of nature would risk a backlash from Tory politicians and the rightwing press, the Guardian has been told.

The decision has angered the programme-makers and some insiders at the BBC, who fear the corporation has bowed to pressure from lobbying groups with "dinosaurian ways".

The series had been challenged recently in a UK Telegraph article for being financially  supported by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

As I said earlier in the thread, hopefully the main effect of this will be to drive up viewership for this episode.

The only people being made look like idiots are the right wing ghouls who think a realistic and considered look at the effects of humans on the planet is offensive or provocative.

Of course, part of the reason this particular episode is being banned, as opposed to the epilogues BBC NH/Attenborough usually use to highlight environmental destruction is that it is directed close to home in Britain, as opposed to, say, a forlorn orangutan sitting in a tiny island of native rainforest in the middle of an Indonesian palm oil plantation.

Kellie Harrington just tore up ans threw her meal ticket into the Liffey.

It was a carcrash crashing into another car crash and then the PR lady came along and crashed into the carrcrashes

I'd say she'll be able to move on from it, once her advisors get her back on message.

When Karrie Heatherington  won her gold medal, we all celebrated without wondering about her personal views.
Her opinions about immigration are her own and do not devalue her achievements as an Irish athlete.
We should not let the politically correct agenda pushed by the  sjw's deminish her achievements.
Never underestimate the power of complaining

Back here on planet earth, Spar presented her on the show as their new 'diversity ambassador'. Even wore a Soar jumper. The journalist rather predictably asked her about an anti immigrant tweet. You know, are you really into diversity, define the community you are now proud to serve and arkward questions like that.

But you keep up the 'sjw' thing, despite it being her here.
